About us Mazzios Italian Eatery It was 1961. Alan Shepard was the USA’s first man in space. Dion’s “Runaround Sue” topped the music charts. Volkswagen’s funny little car invaded America in droves. And a young school teacher opened a small, one-man pizza restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was to be the birthplace of the growing, dynamic Mazzio’s LLC of today. That original restaurant—named The Pizza Parlor—delighted many Tulsans with the very first pizza they ever ate. The school teacher was Ken Selby, who ran his new business virtually alone and after a full day of teaching.

This was a pick up order. When I called them to complain as a Restaurant Manager of over 30 years the experience the first thing out of the MODs mouth was we should have brought it back. Wrong answer the correct answer was I am so sorry. I have plenty of pictures of the “dry wings my son asked for” in the container laying in a puddle of grease. The cinnamon Stromboli had to go into the oven for over 20 minutes due to being raw and had no icing. And finally the chicken spinach Alfredo was alright but the spinach was whole leaf scattered on the top instead of being mixed into the sauce so of course they were a bit burnt.
Why would we bring it back? I promise you that you were going to throw it in the trash, which we did. Do you really think we want you to redo it? I had absolutely told my son that I was going to be nothing but nice, too bad you didn’t start the conversation with an apology as you should have.

I went on Friday for lunch and had the buffet. I arrived around 1pm and they still had fresh food out. They kept it coming out fresh and it was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. While I was there it was all pan crust and it was perfect, that nice crunch with every bite. The cinnamon sticks were delicious, husband would have loved them with all the butter. The lady told me they had Sat night buffet but we just went over there and the kid working the counter said they don’t do that. Idk if the one lady misspoke or if they just don’t have one tonight. I was trying to prove to my husband that Mazzio’s is good cause in OKC they are not. Maybe next time we are passing thru they will have the buffet for him to try it. The staff on Friday were all nice and attentive. Cleaning up just about the whole time I was there, as long as there was no customers at the register. I wish the locations in OKC had workers that want to put out good pizza but we don’t, makes me miss small town life.

The Pepperoni pizza is pretty good with the thicker crust. The cheese bread is great as well with the ranch dressing. They have a pretty good salad bar with various toppings and the buffet during the week. Decent prices. Cinnamon sticks are good too!

They have an endless salad bar option for $6.50, but there is not much on the salad bar. They only have two dressing options, Ranch and Creamy Italian. There are zero light options, I asked if they have the Mazzio’s Light Ranch in packets and was told no. The salad bar only had cucumber and tomato available as part of the lettuce mix. In a huge mix I picked through and was able to find two cherry tomatoes and one cucumber slice. Very disappointing.

Great service, INCREDIBLY friendly staff. Me and my boyfriend found ourselves broken down and stranded and the manager let us sit inside for hours, even a bit after close, and offered phone chargers to help us. The food came out great aswell!
