The steak is always top notch!
Only problem I have ever had eating here was my shirt size. Walk in wearing a large and walk out it fits like a medium. Not too sure who to blame on that one!

We absolutely love Southwood Restaurant! From the rolls to the steaks and all of the sides, the food is phenomenal. The strawberry cake is my favorite dessert, hands down. Everyone is always so nice and attentive. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was very peaceful… Perfect for couple on date or family meal. Service was top notch every step from seating to taking payment. Only issue was the food. The sides were decent but nothing a new cook couldn’t make, desserts were mediocre, but the rolls were something to write home about. Only problem with the rolls is they are very limited so don’t hold your breath that you might get more than one basket. As for the meat, everything seems to be seasoned the same and it’s maybe 5/10, steaks are good cut which saves them some for eating experience, chicken was dry and not worth eating, and ribs were nothing to be desired.

After seeing good reviews, I wanted to try them. I thought my husband and I would have a good experience. I was left very frazzled, and we will not be going back there. My ribeye was fine. However, my husband’s steak was very bland and tasted off/different than mine. The waitress wasn’t very attentive, and didn’t even ask us anything about the steak. The service was lacking to say the least. I mentioned it to her at the end, and they offered to cook another one for us. By that time, we just wanted to leave. They gave us a discounted price of free drinks (iced tea and a Dr. Pepper). It is disappointing when everyone around you seems to be enjoying their food and good service while you barely get any.

This place is amazing! The steaks are seasoned to perfection, the rolls are to die for! The boudin balls are worth it, and the desserts are out of this world! Did I mention the owners and staff!? Top notch place that truly cares about their customers! It’s a quaint little place so make sure to get your reservations in so you don’t miss all they have to offer! You won’t be disappointed!

Great place to eat. You get a lot of food for the price. Steaks are great. Top notch ribeyes that are juicy and flavorful. Wife had the chicken. It was cooked to perfection and still moist in the middle. Not dried out at all. Not our 1st time here and won’t be our last. Keep up the great job y’all.

Our first visit. Great dinner with friends. The guys ordered the 16 oz steak. Seasond well, good cut of meat. Sides were good. Girls had pork ribs. Meat fell off the bone. Portion so big we could have shared it! Seasoned well. The homemade dinner rolls and butter, d’lish!! We had to have dessert even how full we were! The pear pie with homemade ice cream was oh so good!! Had a bite of cheese cake. Yum!! Will be back and recommend to our friends. Little hidden secret!! Friendly service.

Food tasted great… BUT, when you have a RESERVATION you expect there to be food available. No appetizer and they only had chicken strips and steak left… Our waitress could barely handle keeping the drinks filled in this tiny restaurant and honestly the best part of the meal was pre dinner bread.

Overall service was bad. Had to wait a long time for drinks. The only person who seemed to care was the host, which was great. Had a reservation for 6 made hours earlier then got told they only had 4 meals left. Nothing that we wanted. If you’re in the area go to Farmhouse is what I would recommend. Still great home cooked meal but better service. Waitress made the wait and lack of food even worse.

We had a great experience here AGAIN! I have now been here several times and they never disappoint. We were a party of 7, each of our steaks were cooked perfectly, and if you have not had the pear pie, GET IT.
