I used to go here years ago whenever I was getting work done on my car across the road at Currie’s. I had forgotten how good this place is. I was immediately greeted when I came in and told to sit wherever I wanted. I was given a menu and offered coffee right away. From the service to the food everything was amazing. My new favorite place for breakfast.

I’ve been coming here for years with my dad, and it’s a wonderful spot. Solid fish, friendly service, and exactly what a proper fish & chips place should be. Shame on anyone complaining about tartar sauce packets and accusing this business of having “no pride”, clearly not the hundreds of people who’ve happily given it five stars. A true local favourite. Highly recommend stopping in for a great meal!

This place has the best fish and chips in opinion. The batter was cooked to perfection and the fish was amazing!
Everything tasted so fresh, and the price is very affordable.
We will definitely be ordering from this place again!!!
Thank you.

Was there for breakfast, and it was pretty good! Rating was closer to 4.5, but I rounded up!
Old time diner with no-nonsense decor and service. Price was really great, $14 for a full plate of food including coffee. I have no problem paying that, day in, day out.
The home fries were some of the best I have had! Eggs could use a little seasoning, but that might be a personal preference. Sausages, ham and bacon were all very good.
The fish and chips look really fantastic, I would like to revisit to try them out, since this is what they have on the sign out front!
Definitely worth checking out to get some great breakfast and some even better fish and chips.

What is going on with fish and chip restaurants in this town lately? I ordered 2 pieces of halibut, which were fine, not that large. But a f&c restaurant that serves frozen french fries, stupid little packets of tartar sauce, and a can of Coke all for $41. I don’t know how this restaurant gets a review of 4.5 stars. I am not one to complain very much about restaurants or send in bad reviews. I am just frustrated that a fish and chip restaurant can’t mix some mayonnaise relish and lemon juice together. Maybe cut their own fries. Are they making any effort? A little pride in a business would be nice. Shame on all these 5 star reviews for having such low standards. I’m not saying to be mean, but don’t give misleading reviews.

Fish was a good sized portion and the chips were nice too. We were trying not to eat too much fries so we both opted for fish with a salad and shared a side of fries. It was the perfect amount.
We were in for a late lunch, so not too busy and food was quick. Staff were great and checked up on us just enough.

What can I say….. I was touring around Peterborough looking for a Ma and Pa place where I could get some real home cooked food. Well I found it. Clam chowder, Halibut and hand dipped onion rings, coleslaw, coconut cream pie. Tea and water. Clean location, friendly staff, quick service what more could you ask for? The floor is clean, the parking easily accessible, yes a ramp for wheel chairs too. I needed a place like this today. Thank you to the staff today for making my experience a beautiful one.

It’s a family restaurant, friendly service and food was great (better than those franchise / chain restaurants). We ordered a halibut & chips, haddock & chips, claim chowder and onion rings.
