1st visit, weekday, lunch.
Good number of diners for a weekday lunch.
Was looking forward to dining here based on feedback.
First, the restaurant is dated.
Entrance to restaurant is in itself “fun”. Maybe, I am the only 1 who found entering this restaurant could have been more simple.
Food:
I got the impression that chicken was their specialty, but, I wasn’t in the mood for chicken and ordered 1 of my favorite diner foods, hamburger steak.
Let’s just say, my dining companions were surprised I only ate about a fourth of my food.
The hamburger steak was dry that it was a bit hard even with the gravy.
On a positive note, the Chicken Noodle Soup was really delicious! I would have been better off ordering a big bowl of it.
Also good was the mushroom (appetizer).
Service was
The lady that served us was very warm, patient and was all out to ensure we were not lacking anything.
An automatic 20% tip is added for a party of 8+.
My other dining companions had the ribs, ham, salad and chicken fried steak.
We’ve dined many times together but, I noticed there were no glowing remarks on the ride home unlike certain lunches we’ve had.

How have we not been here before? Fantastic choices, cooked clean, fresh, and fast. Quality was great and the service was friendly and speedy. Would recommend 100 times over. Support a local business that is generations deep!

Wishbone Family Restaurant absolutely nailed it! The service was impeccable from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and fast. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned—seriously on point. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the whole experience was exceptional. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great comfort food and top-notch service!

If you love that family diner atmosphere, this is tge place. They make their own Batter and Mayo. Nothing flash frozen coming from that kitchen. I hadn’t been in a long time and I’m glad we stopped in to eat. Just as good as it was 30 years ago. Family owned and operated. Great family atmosphere and excellent food. They also have a takeout area, if you want to just pick up.

This isn’t your typical family restaurant because it’s really a family run Fried Chicken restaurant largely. You come here for the fried chicken and will be convinced of that decision the moment you enter. The fried chickens were crispy without a layer of fat sitting between the meat and skin. The gravy provided was the icing on the cake. BTW the coleslaw was very good. Our server Margaret was courteous and attentive at all times. This meal would count as one of the highlights of our trip.

That was the fastest sit down meal! Especially for a Sunday lunch rush. In under 10 minutes of walking in, our food was on the table. Fried chicken with gravy is delicious!

Our waitress Reily was great. She knew the menu inside and out, refilled drinks quickly, and brought the food out piping hot. I thought the food could use more flavor, especially the Mac and cheese. Overall, a good experience.

5/5 ⭐️ Mashed potatoes and gravy were incredible and so flavorful. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. It wasn’t overly greasy which I appreciated. It’s the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was fun and nostalgic. Staff was friendly and fun. Prices are so reasonable and affordable for a family. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!
