★★★★★ Five stars — BBQ mission more than accomplished.

While in Franklin on a solo business trip and craving local BBQ, I stopped into Puckett’s Restaurant and grabbed a seat at the bar, and it was absolutely the right call. My bartender/server was super friendly, attentive, and made dining alone feel easy and welcoming.

I started with the fried green tomatoes, perfectly cornmeal-crusted, tender inside, and paired with a creamy remoulade that was hard to stop dipping into.

For my main, I ordered the Puckett’s BBQ platter with the half chicken, and it was fantastic — juicy, flavorful, and done with that classic BBQ taste: comforting, smoky, and satisfying without being heavy. The sides were just as solid, true Southern comfort that hits all the right notes.

I also have to mention the Puckett’s Mule — hands down the best Moscow mule I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink.

And the sweet potato fries deserve their own shout-out: the best I’ve ever had. Crispy, not greasy, and completely addictive.

Great food, great drinks, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

A very nice place to grab a bit to eat. Reservation recommend on weekends for groups larger than four. Our waitress was attentive and had good recommendations. Kitchen prepared food and they had good presentation. Would have been nice to have one more piece of chicken on the large Cobb salad. We will be returning! Easy parking in the free garage across the street was a win.

This was my wife’s and my third visit and it did not disappoint. My son and I had the catfish and it was meaty, well seasoned and the breading was spot on. My wife loved her chili Mac, and my daughter liked her pulled pork sandwich. Sides were tasty too. I was not fond of the corn bread mini pancakes, but they were inconsiqential. Highly recommend this place if you are in Franklin TN.

We took a day trip to Franklin while visiting Nashville and had lunch at this cute restaurant. It definitely met our expectations. Great food with great service. We love how they kept the interior look to reflect it’s past history.
Hopefully we will have an opportunity to come and enjoy the live music at some point.
Great location. Paid parking available around the back of the building and a parking garage across the street from the front door.

The service was very good, we had a great waitress, very fast, friendly and pleasant. However the food, unfortunately, not very good. I was so excited to get some good, southern bbq, much to my surprise, despite the high ratings, it was lukewarm. I truly believe it was heated up from the night before, the fries were not very good. My husband ordered the meatloaf, he liked it but it had very little onion or gravy on it. To me it was very similar to chopped steak. I wouldn’t go there again. Very disappointed and it wasn’t cheap!

First I must say Sally was great! She was friendly and informative!

The food varies depending on what you get. I would recommend the chicken fried chicken and the pimento cheese balls! The brisket was a little dry and the fries were a little old. The fried catfish was good though! So all in all a good dinning experience!

Our family came down from Louisiana for a concert and wanted to try some local cuisine. Puckett’s was perfect! My mom and I got the FGBLT, my sister got the Vegetarian Burger, my brother got the Mojo Burger, and my dad got the Philly Cheesesteak. Everything was very good, perfectly cooked, and the sweet potato fries were crispy The only negative thing was that they forgot the cheese for the cheesesteak at first, but once we asked, that was quickly remedied. Our waitress Laney was very sweet and efficient. The cute country store vibe was a comfy backdrop too! Would definitely recommend and come back!

I have never been to this Puckett’s before. It was a good experience. The food was good. I was a bit bummed that they had run out of their ribs for the day, especially since it was at the start of the dinner hour.

The food we got was good and the manager was really nice. The feel of the place is really cool.

They also have gate 11 alcohol and I love that they support local distilleries.

We had the absolute BEST experience here. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender, Sara, was phenomenal and so helpful with suggestions. So glad we sat there! I hope they know how special she is to have as an employee. Our meal was one of the best that we have had in a while! We chose “The whole farm” so that we could try everything and it was truly the most tender and juicy meats- and the “smoke” was not overpowering. Sara was great at recommending drinks and made them to perfection. She is an amazing bartender. She also HIGHLY recommended the cinnamon roll bread pudding, and I must say- you HAVE to try it.
If you are in town, this is a MUST!! Everything from the atmosphere, decor, staff, food, was top notch. Such a great place that was very welcoming and warm.

This was my first visit to Puckett’s and I’ll be back! Fun and casual atmosphere. Plenty of seating in this cozy restaurant. A free parking garage is right across the street. And you’re one block off the main street in downtown Franklin for a great day of shopping!
The menu had a good selection of items and we went for breakfast. Avery took care of us and was friendly, helpful and professional. She checked on us but never made us feel rushed.
The tricky part is finding bathrooms. You feel like you’re walking into the kitchen, because you are. They have two unisex bathrooms which were clean and spacious. They had a place for me to lay my coat and purse. (No one wants to place their purse on a bathroom floor!)
Very friendly staff and has a welcoming atmosphere. Food was very good and cooked to order / accurate. I wish they had better coffee options other than just black with cream (in little plastic containers on the table) and sugar. But, alas, that’s not their style and it’s ok. They did have a good selection of tea bags to offer with hot water for tea. And they refilled with hot water.
We will definitely be back!
