Interesting spot in the cool springs area. They’ve got the pulled pork nailed down and similar to a Texas operation there’s a giant smoker right behind the prep line. Wide selection of meats being smoked. I enjoyed the pulled pork, sausage and turkey the most. Enjoy.

Was in town for a day visit and was hungry for brisket and from I remember their brisket is amazing… My first mistake… I didn’t order the brisket. I decided to order the brisket bowl instead. Sounded good…. And it was gluten-free. I quickly regretted my decision and as you can see left most of it. Too many competing flavors and only a few bites of brisket. Wouldn’t order again but would return for my original choice. Brisket. If you like bbq do yourself a favor and try Hogwood’s.

Some of the best bbq I have ever had & I have sampled plenty in the south. Brisket was outstanding…moist, tender & very flavorful. Mac n cheese was soooo tasty! Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was very fast & the staff was friendly. Talked to the owner & she was so nice & customer focused. Everything was top notch…I couldn’t recommend any higher! Never heard about Hogwood BBQ, but so glad I stumbled on it. Can’t wait to try their sampler tray! Awesome place! If you’re hankering for some great bbq…give Hogwood a try!

First of all we placed an order and the food came before we could even get our drinks filled up. Ordered the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese everything was outstanding. Some of the best brisket ive ever had in my life. The owner was super down to earth and the atmosphere was perfect for a barbecue joint. Overall great experience im definitely coming back

Great food and great atmosphere! The food was very fresh and delicious. I even got to talk to the manager about the origins of the restaurant, and she was really nice! Definitely go to this place if you’re in Franklin. I would recommend getting the nachos.

We had Hogwoods food truck come out to our hotel for our 63rd family reunion. The ribs were absolutely AMAZING!!! Fall off the bone tender with and excellent smoky flavor. Fabulous customer service as well.

Menu is not overwhelming… one cannot go wrong no matter your choice! The Colorado Sandwich, brisket Jack cheese and jalapenos is absolutely delicious… it’s not too spicy if you’re worried!

Was in the area and saw this place had good reviews. I see why! Son and I ordered the brisket, chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad, and grits. They had three types of BBQ sauce – regular, spicy, and white. They also had a different brand of fountain drinks other than Coke or Pepsi.
Pros:
1. All of the food was seasoned perfectly. I especially liked the potato salad and the white BBQ sauce.
2. The brisket was good. Can’t say that about many places this far from TX.
3. Staff was friendly.
4. Prices were decent.
5. The fountain drinks were tasty. I liked the cream soda.
6. Decor was cute.
Cons:
1. Chicken was a bit dry.
Overall, this is a solid BBQ place. I’d eat here again.
