I’ve been a regular at another Coney Island a mile up the road for 40+ years but the quality and facility has really gone downhill. Thought we’d try another breakfast spot for a big change.
My neighbor and I tried Sterling Coney Island just this Wednesday on January 7.
The food and environment was 100% better. Unlike the other greasy run down Coney Island, Sterling Coney was clean and the breakfast not greasy. The waitress was very nice and greeted us with a smile The price is right too!
We both had the 3 egg, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 1 ham, hash browns and toast, I believe it’s called the #4. Bacon was thick and cooked perfect as was everything else.
We went again on 1-21 and had the same (#4) and again, everything was perfect!
Love the friendly people and atmosphere!! Can’t wait to try some lunch and their home made soups that others have bragged about. I’ve tried many breakfast spots all over macomb and many spots throughout the states when I traveled for 20+ years and am happy to have this place close to my home during my retirement years! ❤️
This will be our go to spot in the future!

Food was decent. Had corn beef hash with eggs over medium. My son had Mickey mouse pancakes and bacon. Service was excellent as the waitress was attentive and friendly. I think its a family run business with a husband and wife. Their kids were there who were friendly to my four year old son.

You may not notice this place by driving down Van Dyke or even know about it driving down 16 mile (Metro Parkway). But this is definitely a place you should try and I guarantee you will be back. Whether I had the Coney or the fries, the slim Jim or fish dinner, everything was delicious. This place is owned by a husband and wife running it solely on their own and are super friendly.

Omg, I could eat the chicken pita melt everyday. The chicken has so much flavor. Great Big Daddy Rueben, I was surprised, most places don’t make them right, Greek dressing is made in house, fantastic. Cant forget about the homemade soups.
Customer service is the best , husband and wife , make a great team.

Lubi’s chicken noodle soup is the best! For the last 9-10 years all I crave when I am sick is Lubi’s soup, it puts my mom’s soup to shame. All the food is great there, you gotta check them out! Thank you for the amazing soup, Lubi!!

Perfect diner fare. The coney sauce is amazing, and the burger was about twice as big as I was expecting for less than $8. In Grand Rapids, this would be a $20+ meal. My total in Sterling Heights with a cup of coffee was $13.75. Great hospitality, on top. The staff seem to know everybody who comes in. I’m a big fan of this place.

It was a quiet Saturday morning, my husband and I met my daughter and kids there, and it was our first time. My over medium eggs were cooked just perfectly, and my husband had the best Reuben sandwich he’s ever tasted! It was brought to the table steaming hot. We loved our server, very attentive to our needs and requests. Will be back!

We are quite the fan of the Coney restaurants in Sterling heights and most of them are pretty good. We only discovered this place recently and it has become our favorite. It looks kind of lonely in the shopping center where it is but the inside is inviting, the service is great and food is excellent! It has become our go-to for breakfast especially. I promise if you try it you won’t be disappointed.
