This was such a good experience. I was a little hesitant with some of the negative reviews but wanted to give it a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The two ladies up front were incredibly nice. The food was good too! Especially the chicken bacon ranch pizza… wow! We will be back.

Horrible people. Horrible at taking orders, cant cook. I walked in and used the words a 16” pepperoni pizza with extra sauce please and a 6 piece garlic knots. He took my order and when done handed it to me and I left. I get home to two young kids that now are hungry and excited about pizza. There were no pepperonis at all. Not light pepperonis, none. So I call up tell them the situation and he puts me on hold, you here the phone picked up and then hung up. I call right back and he said he hung up because he didnt hear anything. So then he tells me theres no way to deliver me one that is correct and Id have to come back. I told him im on my way back. At this point kids are crying because im taking food away from them. Luckily we got the garlic knots. He then tells me to bring the cheese pizza back and they will give me a pepperoni so guessing they are reusing it for by slice deal so be careful there. I get back and they take the pizza. Wife then messages me telling me the kids were going to eat garlic knots but they are raw dough in the middle so then had to tell them that to fix. Some guy came from the back and said you want 6 garlic knots and explained to him that the ones I already purchased are raw. I did not like the place that was here before and this will be the only time I ever eat hear if only for the customer service, accuracy, and lack of caring they demonstrated and they tried to do nothing to rectify the situation. Also if nothing else, I dont think its very sanitary to take food someone drove away with, had in their house, and brought back, and have it back in your kitchen prepping food for other people. Please dont go here, they dont deserve the business, they could care less about you.
As for your response I wish you would post the video. There were 0 employees upfront and I did drop it on the counter from I would say 6 inches up. I apologize for dropping the pizza in a box that far but also you wouldn’t know since no one was out there. After it was on the counter I went and sat in the chair beside the drink cooler until you came out with my recooked pizza. Besides my reactions or anything it doesn’t change anything on your end of the situation, reheating a pizza after slapping pepperoni on it. By the way, that pizza had been in my sons mouth before I realized there was no pepperoni so yes you had food that had been in someone elses mouth on the prep counter putting the pepperoni on it and then in the oven after. Im assuming you prepped other pizzas right behind that one, so those people also had my son’s mouth on their food. Also since I posted in my neighborhood facebook page many people feel the same way and said they will not be back. The way you handle your customers feedback on here is a true testament as how you run your establishment. After 2 of 4 members of my house getting physically ill after eating and the other 2 not feeling well I have no need to be back. Proof is there, video evidence you have will prove you’re lying about “throwing” a pizza at your staff and short of if you asked me to leave and I wouldnt, if that was the case, a police officer would have done 0 about this since nothing I did or said was threatening. In fact the video would prove that I had to announce to everyone that I was back with my pizza since no one was up there, so it would be impossible to throw anything at anyone. Nothing in your rebuttal stood up for your mistake, health sanitation of your environment, or way you treat customers, all you did was attack me a paying customer that had to make 2 trips to your establishment to get 1 dinner and 4 people sick. This is also apparent by the other negative post on your google reviews. Good luck to you all, I hope proper changes are made to be successful. You have no need to worry if I’ll be back because it is not safe to eat there anyway. Until then I’ll eat Slice House Pizza up the road in Huntersville, it is incredibly so much better. Eating yours was a mistake I will never make again.

So my husband went here and got a meatball slice it was really delicious with little dollaps of sauce and crispy crust! So we thought we would come back and order a whole pie. We got a whole meatball pizza, some knots and a slice of buffalo. The buffalo slice was real good and crispy. The knots were knots. But the pie had issues. I am not sure what happened but they didn’t have the dollops of sauce. That was no big deal still pizza. The dough had some major issues it wasn’t crispy it was very chewy like hard to eat chewy. I would probably try again just to be sure but I wanted to rate high but I just couldn’t after we ate the pie. Will change my review in the future if things change though. Service was amazing! Hopefully the pizza we had was just a fluke/them figuring stuff out.

First time trying tonight based on reviews. Must have been an off night or all their friends and family are doing self reviews. We ordered two pizzas and the pepperoni roll thing. A large pizza with 4 toppings and a small Hawaiian. Both of our pizzas were way under cooked. The crust, sauce had zero flavor. It’s like they forgot salt. The pepperoni roll thing was burnt on the bottom. For 50 bucks I feel robbed.

Wanted to give City Boy a shot and I am so happy with the food. The grease is not heavy. Soft and yet crunchy pizza. The ricotta is my favorite. It’s smooth and bit grainy at all. Definitely will buy again in the future.

If you want a REAL Authentic New York Pie I suggest you try out City Boys! I literally just moved to NC from Staten Island NY an I tried a few different places that say they have “New York Pizza” it wasn’t like home. But then I tried this spot and Bingo I finally found a taste of home! And BTW they literally do have the Biggest Slices in Town.

Food was solid. We tried a variety of items since we’ve not had it before. The chicken bacon and ranch pizza was excellent. The other pies were good, but maybe a bit salty for me. I have been under the weather lately, so that may have affected my pallet. We’ll definitely go back!

After reading the reviews, I’d recommend skipping this place. The wait was extremely long, and the pizza didn’t live up to the hype. What really turned us off, though, was how the owner responds to negative feedback. One reviewer mentioned waiting a long time and receiving the wrong pizza—and instead of offering an apology or trying to make it right, the owner accused them of “bashing a small business.” That kind of attitude is disappointing. Honest customer feedback isn’t bashing—it’s a chance to improve. Making excuses instead of taking responsibility doesn’t leave a good impression. We won’t be going back, and we will be spreading this around to everyone else. I would suggest thinking before you write these things for the public to see. We wish you good luck.
