The Carolina She Crab soup was the most amazing soup ever. Dave F has the best service I’ve ever experienced. He was very friendly, informative, listened to everything we said and provided us an experience we will not forget. We told him we were visiting from Alaska and where we were staying and when he packed our stuff for us he brought silverware and said he figured the hotel wouldn’t have any,.which he was right. He packed us fresh teas to go as well. Very thoughtful in his service. The bathroom had scrubbing salts to try. Smart move when they have a little shop that sells it. Made my hands super soft. Great view as well. I highly recommend visiting this fabulous restaurant.

This was my first time here. Unfortunately it was not up to expectations, as it t was recommended by friends who have visited before.

I will say that the people were nice. My server was Nicholas G. He is a great waiter. The atmosphere was good.

The food left a lot to be desired
The filet mignon was very bland
The vegetables and potatoes were ok
The Mac and cheese tasted like something you would get from a kfc.

We were blown away by Skull Creek Dockside.

We were looking for a pretty specific place for lunch one day during our vacation to Hilton Head: 1. on the water. 2. seafood, but not only seafood. 3. GF options. 4. a place that got great reviews. And we found it all!

We started with the GF fried calamari & shrimp and bacon hushpuppies (which I did not try, obviously). Yes, you heard that correctly, they have fried GF seafood, and it was AMAZING! Even those in our group who eat gluten said they couldn’t tell it was GF. I would go back just for that appetizer alone. The others seemed to really enjoy the hushpuppies.

I wanted so badly to get their brisket, but at $23.50 for a half pound ($47 a pound!), I just couldn’t do it. I have had brisket at Franklins and other Austin staples, and I just couldn’t pay that much for brisket. Even if it was on par with the legend (which is almost impossible), even Franklin does dream of charging that much for his world-famous brisket.

So, I settled for the club on GF bread. It was very good, but all I could think about was how it wasn’t brisket.

Both kids got the cheese pizza, and it looked delicious. My daughter said it was the best pizza she has ever had in her life, but she says that about every pizza she has.

Everyone in our group very much enjoyed their food and looking out upon the water was just what we wanted that day.

We would 100% go back.

I safely ate here while living with an ANA wheat and other gluten items allergy. I enjoyed broiled scallops and flounder (both a touch overdone, but still tasty). The beans and rice side was so good. The pan seared mussels were my favorite. There was a good portion. The accompaning white wine and tomato sauce was delicious. They serve it with bread, but had no gluten free bread to offer (ding for that). Sara, my awesome server, put it in a to go container so I could sop up that goodness at home. The beet salad was great. The potato wedges were not a hit. They were drenched in a seasoned sour cream (thin consistency). One was not so heavily covered, it was the only one eaten. Maybe ask for that on the side? My companion had a smash burger with fries and was pleased with his order. There is plenty to do outside. There are games, seating areas, and a playground. There are indoor and outdoor bars-indoor and outdoor seating away from those, too. There is a store inside. The bathrooms were clean. It is a super property with friendly staff. Finding a safe place to eat made my day. I will definitely be back.

An excellent location with great atmosphere and food. Our waiter was sub par but other servers appeared to be excellent. Waterfront on a sunny day!

Literally still at the table but had to write this right away! My gluten free friends, you need to stop here! They use a cornmeal crust and it is light, crunchy, and makes you feel like you never went GF. Now let’s talk about the shrimp scampi pizza on the CRISPY cauliflower crust. Beyond delicious and a cracker crust feel. We also had the fried pickles and okra starter and it did not disappoint. Finally, ask for Mikey as your server. He’s a gem! If you are anywhere near here, it’s a must stop!

We had a fun night in the bar area , and Mike our Server could not have been more professional, and kind!
Can’t beat the atmosphere here! We always sit outside or in the dining area but just loved our cozy Bar- Eve. The food was hot and delicious as usual! Had the Cod special, and it was tasty and unique. Drinks great too! Only negative of the night was the coffee with the delicious dessert as we doubt it was decaf as requested . Oops! Long night.
Definitely returning as Winter off season is actually awesome!

I had an excellent experience at Skull Creek Dockside! I have a shellfish allergy, and the staff took amazing care of me. They were very attentive, made sure I was safe, and kept all shellfish far away from my meal. Our waiter, Jesse, was absolutely amazing—friendly, thoughtful, and on top of everything. I had the Twin Filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I truly appreciated the extra care and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be back!

An absolutely wonderful experience. We had a reservation for 14 people, and our server Nick was extremely efficient and friendly. He got to know us and even went out of his way to help us celebrate three birthdays!
The manager even paid us a visit and was so nice and made us feel welcome.
The food was phenomenal. The selection was large and their seafood was fresh!
Thanks for the great experience.
