Chikara is one of my favorite sushi restaurants and I love sushi. The quality here is very good and the specialty rolls have a lot of fun options which I appreciate as a lot of places have the same exact rolls. The Kani salad here is very delicious as well as all the rolls I have tried. Since it’s in Phoenixville, it’s hard to choose a restaurant because there are so many great places to dine at but if you’re in the mood for sushi or Asian cuisine in general then I would definitely stop by. Their prices are reasonable, around the same as most other sushi restaurants in the area.

Chikara is a great dinner-date spot. Walk around at the shops, then finish up with some great quality cuisine. The staff is always so nice. They have a variety of dishes to choose from with an expansive Specialty Roll selection. You can always try something new! For appetizers, my top two are the Calamari and Garlic Broccoli (I don’t know what’s in that garlic sauce but I have yet to find a recipe as delicious ) We tried to udon today and it was great, delicate flavor and chewy soft noodles. It has a variety of seating options: outdoors, booths, or sushi counter.

This place is excellent. Great food, great service. Love their general Tso’s, it’s made in house with huge white chicken pieces and not overly breaded or fried

Absolutely love the food quality served. The staff was courteous , polite and friendly. Very cozy and calm atmosphere in the humdrum of a busy street. We loved each item, the appetizers, main course and would love to specifically mention the sashimi platter! Would definitely recommend!!

I wasn’t’ going to share this, but after waiting over an hour and a half, then cancelling our order through door dash this past weekend, I think it’s time!
About eight months ago we went to dinner at Chikara, and the two of us who had their specialty $5.00 a piece oysters, supposedly from Japan, got pretty ill with diarrhea and vomiting.
We will NEVER go there again, and just stick to our go-to Poseidon in Paoli!

Our food was ALL extremely delicious. The servers were very attentive. Chikara is a restaurant with a nice, classy atmosphere with decent prices. It’s in between casual & high-end fancy. It was a nice, relaxing dinner, with great service that we all enjoyed.
We usually order sushi delivery from Chikara via doordash, and it is always fresh and delicious on those occasions as well.

Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance. The food was excellent and there is a huge menu to choose from. The server was very friendly and attentive. This is BYOB but don’t let that deter you! Bring a bottle and have a wonderful dinner! I am definitely going back!

This restaurant is beautiful. The lighting is so cool especially around the sushi bar. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff at the sushi bar were friendly and answered all our question. The menu is large and there is something for everyone. My sushi rolls were amazing. I could not recommend them enough. Someone was there to greet us immediately and we were sat right away.

As a delivery driver who has visited Chikara many times, I am disappointed by the consistent lack of professionalism and courtesy from the front desk staff.
While the food is often ready on the pickup table, my recent interactions have been genuinely rude. When asking for a status update on an order, I’ve been told “I don’t know, I’m busy” while being ignored for long stretches.
Drivers take on significant risks to deliver this food—navigating difficult parking on Bridge Street and working through all kinds of weather. We are not paid for wait time, so when staff is indifferent or refuses to provide a simple time estimate (e.g., “5 or 10 minutes”), it directly affects our livelihood.
Being “busy” is understandable, but being unwelcoming to the people helping your business reach customers is not. I hope management trains their staff to be more communicative and respectful toward delivery partners. A little kindness goes a long way.

I went there for a date night hoping the place to be classy. The ambience is vey nice and it is byob place. The food was not so great to our expectations. The gyozo were nice but the entree was not so much. We ordered sushi and red curry. There was no curry in the red curry. We were not expecting that. They did serve us some curry after request. But the taste didn’t hit the mark for us. The sushi was ok. And I was hoping to have better green tea than the packed dip ones. May be we’re better with some other dish.
