Don’t let these reviews fool you ! I went here at 7 pm 3/1/26 , and this place was like eating in a public porta potty. this place was genuinely disgusting. Paid 85$ for 4 people , first, when u start walking around, everywhere u look it’s just filth . there’s just kids everywhere , plates are VISIBLY dirty, tables dirty, walls, floors , & I saw used silverware in the clean bin . Go to a Chinese buffet instead ! You’ll pay less & eat better

Absolutely insane quality for the value. Lunch deal is about $12, and everything I got was phenomenal. Easy 5 stars
I am not being paid for this, in fact I’d pay to go again soon. It is SO good, definitely a great buffet. They keep the food rotating and hot, everything is fresh and very tasty.
*The steak has a great crust and still very juicy inside. The burger made with a buttered roll as the bun was out of this world. I probably ate half a dish worth of the cheesy garlic bread as well lol

I love the variety so I can customize my salad and my plate, some of the issues I had was items not labeled and how under cooked the chicken was also that the meat flavor was just gas cooked no actual flavor. Needed some seasoning on the meat and the rolls were hard

For me most of the food was either to spicy for me, very dry and overcooked or unappetizing visually. I’m sorry but my first experience with this Golden Corral was just not very good or appealing. They were busy so the service was tolerable at best. And it was just loud and unpleasant feeling!

If you been to one of the GC buffets, you already know the set up…salads and fruit offerings on one side then meats and fish in the middle surrounded by a lot of sides (which change daily) and then an extensive dessert area on the other side.
They turn over a lot of food so if what you wanted runs out…it won’t be long before it is refilled.
The steak is cooked on a griddle and you ask for your desired doneness.
My husband can’t get enough of the pot roast. I appreciate the real whipped potatoes and shrimp that is usually part of their daily offerings.
It is easy not to save room for dessert, so if you see something you would like you may want to pace yourself.
Our attendant was Debbie. She was the sweetest, most personable and efficient individual I have encountered in some time. She did a better job than some waiters I’ve had at higher price point establishments.
There was an promotion for an add on lobster tail that I partook in and she made sure it was to me immediately after cooked and it was delicious!
The 3 stars in atmosphere is only due to the behavior of some of the patrons letting their young children run wild. It would be hard but management could request they sit down.

The Manager OMAR is very unprofessional, rude, overbearing, despicable, has a nasty mouth, prejudice towards his female workers, very unethical, threatening, with a toxic behavior, self-centered, has a sign of defensiveness, & full of a very negative Pessimistic outlook. OMAR needs an attitude adjustment immediately, before he snaps on one of his young female employees !!! We observered him talking to his young female employees in a threatening, demeaning, high tone voice on the floor in front of everyone, in an uncalled for manner, & even balling up his fists at them, as if it were a scare tactic. The young ladies faces drained like they were so scared, & they seemed to immediately get nervous. I feel that corporate needs to be aware of who is running this location & trust me, I will be looking into finding out the Corporate number, to let them know what we all observed. NO ONE should be subjected to work under these conditions, especially when the MANAGER has tightened up both fists at them, as if he wants to punch them, while gritting his teeth towards them, while in a packed out place of business. It was disrespectful & threatening to the young ladies & very disturbing for the guests who observed the interaction, while trying to eat their meals with their families, including small children, who witnessed this also. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before leaving, & it was disgusting. Had I not had sanitizer with me & had to go in the bathroom beforehand, we would have all walked out immediately !!! I am sharing pics of what was taken. Who would be willing to use these facilities? Instead of downgrading your employees, maybe he should have been doing HIS job correctly as a MANAGER, keeping an eye on his store & making sure it was clean & presentable for your guests to be able to use the facilities, especial incase of an emergency. Will NEVER be back to this location !!! …

It’s been close to 2 years since I last visited a Golden Corral, so I was totally impressed when we visited the location (4032 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY). When we walked in, we were greeted. The food selection and quality of food was outstanding, along with great customer service. I saw firsthand how well the Golden Corral staff worked in such awesome harmony together. This outstanding experience restored my faith in Golden Corral brand, and I had the opportunity to express my compliments to one of the managers at this location and his name was Bruce. I shared that great customer service starts with leadership, and I saw firsthand how Bruce was working with his team, interacting with respect and leading by example. Since our visit on Jan 18, we returned again on Jan 22, 2026. We like to thank our wonderful servers named Hichcum during our visit on Jan 18 and Nancy on Jan 22. Both Server/Hostess were outstanding and so amazing! I am asking the Golden Corral Management team to please recognize these incredible team of professionals, because they are representing the “Golden Corral” Brand very well!

Food is okay, but service has gone down tremendously. I did 15 years in service and never did I tell a customer “You’re not my table” when they ask for a refill because their server has been MIA since they sat down.
She never greeted us, just cleaned the tables around us, glaring at us the entire time, then just disappeared. I had to get a high chair myself from across the restaurant because she wouldn’t after asking twice over 5 minutes. Thinking it must be changing of the shift, I asked the other server that started taking over the section. She ignored us several times. So I called over the guy helping seat the sections and he asked each of the servers around us and each said “they aren’t my table”. So I got up and got our own refills telling them that I guess I’m our own server.
The guy helping seat people eventually found us a new server, but these little girls they got working a busy Saturday afternoon need to fix their attitudes because no wonder you “aren’t making any money” as I heard you tell another server!

Saturday morning breakfast. Not too crowded. Plenty of delicious breakfast food – bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes – and delicious lunch foods too. I recommend the fried chicken, it’s the best fried chicken you can find! And the dessert bar was wonderful with all the pies and cakes! Want to highlight the omelette bar – delicious and loaded with veggies.bI started the breakfast with a salad – fresh, so much to add, and the house dressing for 1000 Island was top notch! For a breakfast that can’t be beat, Golden Corral is my favorite!

I don’t mind waiting if I had too but when you are making a 35 to 40 minutes drive but also called first to reserve a table for a group and was given specific names who to ask for once getting there only to be told out loud by I say one of the rudest cashier we don’t reserve it’s a first come basis. Then an older lady step to the cashier and said we have a reserve room can we just pay and go ahead in. But you just said you can’t do that. I stayed and ate because I’m hungry I didn’t cause a scene because I was raised better than that and it only makes the person doing so look very ugly but on everything I own I will not return to this restaurant.
