I have not dabbled in barbque enough as I would have liked. Putting that out there. Nice little spot. Woke up not too long before I went. The service was good, they didn’t serve you so it’s hard to say their service wasn’t good you know. It’s literally one interaction and they just ask for your order. The food was solid. The meat was tender and the sauces were really good. I liked the clsssic and the firery something. Can’t remember the name. Overall good spot, not super expensive. My Beli gave it a 6.7. 6 7. Six seven. I think this is somewhat accurate, I would give more like a five just average but I know there may be some inflation or whatever. Good spot for sure.

This was my grandkids and I first time eating here. We enjoy good BBQ. They enjoyed the pull pork sandwich and the Nashville Chicken sandwich. I ordered the Sampler plate with 3 meats and two sides. The rubs, brisket, and pulled Chicken was good. We visited the Decatur Georgia location. Quiet atmosphere and the service was very nice. Thank you !!! We added you all to our BBQ list .

I went on the $2 Tuesday. The ribs were great and the service was great! I really liked the okra but all the other sides were just okay… I think if I were to come back … I would just get the $2 ribs and take them home to my own sides. I did do a review from my receipt to get a free dessert. I chose the banana pudding.. and it was just okay. I will be back to try the dirty bird!!!

From the very start I should have turned around and left. The cashier Kierre has a rude disposition. Once i paid 40$ he mumbled something But from the lack of eye contact I couldn’t tell if he was actually talking to me. I asked another rep is my name going to be called once I sit down or are they going to bring the food out she said they will call my name okay. Once I got my food it lacked any type of presentation and it was lukewarm. The cornbread was cold. The food was all bland. From the brisket to the pulled pork to the ribs Bland. Collards vinegary. I brought the food over to see about getting it heated up they said they have no microwaves. The cashier guy said we could remake it I said no because my interaction were less than pleasant and I didn’t trust them with my food based on the blanks stares. I opted to just bring the food home and add seasoning and heat it up myself. Not sure where these high reviews come from but tonight was not it and I’m jacked for my 40$.

Ordered ribs, chicken, mac and cheese, and wings. All… trash. Fries was fried in old oil, and burnt, ribs were dried out and the chicken was dried out and under cooked. I wish I could show them how it’s supposed to be done. It seems like everything is a rush now-a-days. And the mac and cheese was just tossed in the trash. Fat over cooked noodles. That’s my review.

First time here… the food is great! They were busy for Monday night. I ordered the 3 meats plate and my order came out wrong. I order a turkey but got a pulled pork instead. All the meats were fresh and tender. Mac & cheese and baked beans is delicious and fresh. Desserts are heaven!! Excellent customer service!! Definitely will be back.

We visited City Barbeque in Decatur on 2/18/26 at approximately 8:04 PM, about 50 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

When we arrived, most of the chairs had already been stacked onto tables, giving the impression that the restaurant was closed. By the time we received our food, it was cold. We also noticed that the tea and other beverage amenities had been removed and placed on a cart to be taken to the back. Several tables throughout the restaurant were dirty, and the dining area overall appeared unclean. There were approximately six employees on duty at the time.

Our cornbread, which was an additional $3.19 charge, was hard and cold. When we requested fresh cornbread, we were told there was only one piece remaining—and it was cold as well. We asked if it could be warmed and were informed that they had no way to heat cold food. Additionally, we requested all flat smoked wings but received drums instead.

Throughout the visit, each employee we encountered was unprofessional and dismissive. At one point, I asked an employee who was stacking chairs about a tea refill, and she ignored my question entirely. It was surprising and disappointing that every staff member we interacted with displayed the same lack of courtesy.

We left around 8:39 PM, feeling unwelcome and dissatisfied. This was not our first negative experience at this location. Over a year ago, we also encountered locked doors approximately 15 minutes before closing.

Management should reevaluate operations at this location and ensure staff are properly trained to uphold company policies, cleanliness standards, and respectful customer service. We sincerely hope this experience is not reflective of other City Barbeque locations, such as Snellville.

Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and we will not be returning to this location.

Unfortunately the quality is getting worse and worse . Each trip here costs $50+ dollars just to be served mediocre quality food. Idk if the staff that was working yesterday were in their right minds on Nov.1st and around 3pm but I received a pull pork sandwich full of a unidentified piece of meat and brisket sandwich full of fat even after requesting the specific cuts I wanted . I will be calling to speak to a manager this is ridiculous.

This place is a total win from start to finish. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The platter is the way to go if you want to enjoy a little bit of everything, with the brisket being the undeniable standout and the ribs just as impressive. The sides deliver, and the lemonade and sweet tea combo is absolutely worth it. The atmosphere really seals the deal — the layout, music, and décor create a welcoming vibe that elevates the whole experience. We’ll definitely be coming back regularly!

This was my first time trying city barbecue. They greeted me upon entry. Great hospitality and the price of the food is worth it for what you get! I will be back! I got a side platter and tried the chocolate cake everything was delicious. Please visit if you’re in the area.
