Wow! We had an amazing experience at Hofherr Meats in Northfield! Store is very clean and neatly organized. Case is full of fresh and delicious meats. There is even a freezer with some frozen items you can take home and make later! Workers were nothing short of phenomenal. Friendly from the second we walked in. Felt like they really wanted to help us out with a smile on their face! We got the world famous Italian beef, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! Flavors are unmatched! Bread, meat, and au jus were on point and I loved every single bite of the sandwich. My wife is a vegetarian and she had a mushroom “Italian beef” and she was floored by how delicious it was. Not on the menu yet, but it is being tested out as we speak. The mushrooms were out of this world and had the perfect texture to them. The mushrooms are locally grown from a mushroom farm and you can really taste the difference! I hope they put this on the menu because we will be going often to eat these amazing sandwiches! Another star of the show was the vinegar based Cole slaw. Wow! So much flavor, we couldn’t get enough! I do need to mention Sean and Arielle (owners) are the most personable people ever. Super friendly, feels like we’ve know them forever! I can’t recommend Hofherr Meats enough. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed!! Nice little resource here, a bit of everything. Been going for about six weeks. Give ’em your support. Artisanal prepared cold foods, hot food, coffee. Fresh meats to grab for home. Quality of ingredients is good, convenience high, service is kind.
