Texas style BBQ and it’s done to Perfection! The Brisket is tender and the bark is incredible. The Ribs are the best I have had in South Carolina anywhere. The pork chop was huge and very juicy but I’d get any of the other options first. I have never enjoyed potato salad so much and the banana pudding can’t be missed.

First experience. Went specifically for steak night. Having to wait outside for an hour due to setup, did not like. Steaks were decent portion, and some were super looking. Taste was a bit too sweet. The side prices were outrageous. Couldn’t find the bacon in the beans. Baked potatoes was alright. That said – when you do get the steak, the sides are not included! We would not have gotten any but as we went through the line it was said “you get 2” which any assumption would think they were included. 2 steaks, 4 sides total, one drink $80. Lemonade was not filled when we went to get a drink and mentioned it but it did not get refilled while we were there. The place has a huge following. Tons of customers. People rave about the brisket (all signs said MP) but did not try. It was an okay first experience but probably will not go again.

Slabs is one of our favorite places, and a fantastic spot for barbecue. There’s not too many spots in the area that do brisket and certainly none to do it as well as slabs does. The portions are generous, and the people are wonderful. I would have to say that The brisket and jalapeño sausage are my two favorite meats followed by their ribs, which are also excellent.
The sides are all fantastic but I like the beans the best. They’re not as sweet as most places but I think that’s actually what I like about them. The potato salad is also excellent as is the coleslaw.
Make certain that you don’t forget the homemade dessert. They’ve got banana cream pie with a meringue topping, as well as tiramisu and much more.
They’re only open a couple nights a week and the earlier that you get there the better because they do sometimes run out. The best things in life are limited.

I had a wonderful experience at Slabs! This was my first time at this restaurant, and the food and service were top tier. The BBQ was perfectly prepared and incredibly flavorful, the atmosphere of the dining area was cozy and inviting, and there’s also an outdoor patio available. The owner/operators are so welcoming and you can tell they love what they do. After dinner, I’d highly recommend the banana pudding for dessert. We’ll be back!
