At Sen, we’ve transported our family’s favorite Thai street carts into our own contemporary noodle shop in downtown Bend, Oregon. A traditional food vendor in Thailand specializes in a singular dish and is frequented by locals multiple days a week. Often occupying a garage style space on the street level of buildings, Thai noodle shops are busy, bustling, and vibrant institutions within each neighborhood. This review for Sen’s breakfast in Bend is long overdue!
In short… it’s an absolute must!

Fair warning—there’s only one problem: you’ll have a very hard time deciding what to order, and you’ll probably wish you hadn’t eaten dinner the night before.

I truly believe photos tell the story best, so I’ll keep it simple—no more words, just pictures to help you decide! Make your way to Sen this Saturday or Sunday morning and start your weekend with their amazing breakfast.

I stumbled across this Thai place in small town Bend, Oregon. We had a pretty authentic Thai lunch of Khao Soi chicken with beautiful view of Deschutes River. Good food, friendly service with a relaxing atmostphere. Definitely recommend this place as a good Thai place.

Very nice relaxing atmosphere. Had a delicious Thai noodle for lunch. Optional condiments on the side for personalized spiciness level. Overall an excellent experience. Would recommend.

The outdoor seating is underrated. The restaurant vibes were top notch with a nice hostess greeting us at the front. We walked through the restaurant to get to the handful of tables outside along the river. We were short on time as we had a concert to get to but the hostess was more than accommodating and sped up our order. The pad see ew was delicious and so was the pad thai. Lots of activity from the nearby Bend Brewing company beer garden which was great to see. It was a great atmosphere for a summer evening. We will be back!

5 Stars – Absolutely Amazing Experience at Sen Thai!

I had the pleasure of dining at Sen Thai recently, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the best part? The riverside view! There’s something so peaceful about enjoying a delicious meal while overlooking the water—it really adds to the whole dining experience.

Let’s talk about the food—WOW! We ordered the Jaw Hon Hot Pot Soup, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with that authentic Thai kick. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up from the inside out, and the ingredients were super fresh. Highly recommend it for anyone craving a comforting, spicy, and satisfying meal.

But the real star for us was the Ka Prao Moo Toon—pork rib basil served with rice and a perfectly fried egg on top. If you haven’t tried this dish yet, you’re missing out! The tender pork ribs paired with the savory basil sauce are a match made in heaven. The fried egg adds the perfect finishing touch, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. Every bite was delicious, and it’s definitely one of our all-time favorites now!

The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be coming back to Sen Thai for more mouthwatering meals!

Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Bend and craving delicious Thai food and hot pot. The riverside view, amazing food, and great service will make you a regular customer for sure!

My first and only experience at Sen was not great. Like I do at every restaurant, I eat I tell them I have food allergies, to gluten, dairy, and soy. I told the waitress the two items I was interested in and she went and checked to make sure they were safe for me. I ordered the pad Thai, which had a really good flavor and also the ribeye beef satay wraps. I was deep in conversation with a friend going between both dishes when I realize there were a little soft spongy chunks in with the chicken pad Thai. I was pretty sure it was tofu (soy) and when I asked the waitress, she admitted that it was tofu and downplayed the fact that I had told her specifically I was allergic to soy. Eventually, They did end up taking that off my bill, which I am grateful for. The beef in the Ribeye beef satay wraps did not have much flavor, they were very dense and there was a lot of chewy fat pieces that I had to pull off. I do feel like for what I got it was overpriced. I had the yoga retreat cocktail, which was delicious.

Had an amazing brunch here. Their potatoes are out of this world. Can’t wait to go back over and over and over and over again.

The food is delicious. A little pricey but definitely worth it! I got the individual hotpot and it was just the right amount to fill me up. That being said, the meat portion they bring you is fairly small. It’s just that all the extra noodles and veggies really add a lot. They have those portable gas burners if they don’t have enough tables with them built in, so you don’t have to worry about all the specialty tables getting taken up. A definite must try for hotpot lovers in bend.

Enjoyed Brunch here which they just started doing and it was SO delicious! Had the Chicken Fried Benedict and friends had the Thai Tea Pancakes both were Delicious! It does suck that if you are coming in the direction of Redmond on the HWY to get there you have to do a U-turn and then double back. We’ll worth it though its on a lovely spot next to the river. Will have to come back for lunch or dinner since I can only speak for the brunch experience!
