Though similar to the word ‘zen’, Sen translates to noodle, or thread, in Thai. A singular noodle personifies movement, balance, and longevity in numerous Asian cultures. At Sen, we’ve transported our family’s favorite Thai street carts into our own contemporary noodle shop in downtown Bend, Oregon. A traditional food vendor in Thailand specializes in a singular dish and is frequented by locals multiple days a week. Often occupying a garage style space on the street level of buildings, Thai noodle shops are busy, bustling, and vibrant institutions within each neighborhood. Our menu takes inspiration from these numerous establishments loved by their local Thai communities.

In short… it’s an absolute must!
Fair warning—there’s only one problem: you’ll have a very hard time deciding what to order, and you’ll probably wish you hadn’t eaten dinner the night before.
I truly believe photos tell the story best, so I’ll keep it simple—no more words, just pictures to help you decide! Make your way to Sen this Saturday or Sunday morning and start your weekend with their amazing breakfast.
I had the pleasure of dining at Sen Thai recently, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the best part? The riverside view! There’s something so peaceful about enjoying a delicious meal while overlooking the water—it really adds to the whole dining experience.
Let’s talk about the food—WOW! We ordered the Jaw Hon Hot Pot Soup, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with that authentic Thai kick. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up from the inside out, and the ingredients were super fresh. Highly recommend it for anyone craving a comforting, spicy, and satisfying meal.
But the real star for us was the Ka Prao Moo Toon—pork rib basil served with rice and a perfectly fried egg on top. If you haven’t tried this dish yet, you’re missing out! The tender pork ribs paired with the savory basil sauce are a match made in heaven. The fried egg adds the perfect finishing touch, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. Every bite was delicious, and it’s definitely one of our all-time favorites now!
The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be coming back to Sen Thai for more mouthwatering meals!
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Bend and craving delicious Thai food and hot pot. The riverside view, amazing food, and great service will make you a regular customer for sure!
