We came to this restaurant before a show at Union Transfer and it was not busy at all. We ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak with fries and split it between 2 of us. Chicken cheesesteaks are usually dry and don’t have a lot of flavor, but this one was very tasy and well made–served in a perfectly toasted roll.
The restaurant was clean and the staff was very kind and the service was great. The atmosphere was kind of a mix between a diner and pizza shop.
The menu had a large variety of options.
I’d definitely come back and would recommend this place for a quick bite.

Really solid, old school pizza, sandwich etc. shop. My turkey hoagie was big, fresh and tasty.

The cheese pizza is fantastic!!! Holds up versus all of the fancy good pizza places we have in philly but with no fuss. Could not praise the staff more, they are very kind and the sort of place you want to do well. Great family business with an old school atmosphere and very good on top of that.

Great local pizza, cheesesteak, sandwich and burger spot.
We were visiting from out of town and enjoyed the selection, everything was great.
Price is fair, however they do charge a credit card service fee (or cash gets a discount)

I’ve catered from Spring Garden pizza for my company events four times now, and every experience has been excellent. Communication with Luis is always smooth—he’s incredibly helpful, responsive, and makes the ordering process seamless. The delivery driver is consistently on time, which is so important for events, and the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Everyone at the office looks forward to it! Highly recommend for both quality and reliability.

I found SGP totally by accident when I moved to Philly. It very quickly became my favorite pizza not just in the city but in the world. Even after moving across the country, every time I’m in town I don’t leave without getting a Jalapeno Pineapple pie (I’ve also had family bring it with them when they visit—because it’s that freaking amazing)

The pizza was baked just right and all enjoyed. We decided to try out this restaurant because of its location next to PhilaMOCA and went in blind and found a great place to stop before our show in that area. A hidden gem that will hopefully grow in popularity.

A hidden gem I just stumbled upon. As others have said, family owned since ’89, and it shows. The owners truly care, create a welcoming environment, and the food is awesome. chicken ceasar salad today, pizza after the next gym day when I’ve actually earned it… Thanks guys!

I’ve now been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Spring Garden Pizza is like stepping back in time. The owner truly cares about his restaurant, his employees, and his customers. He’s one of the nicest men I’ve ever met in my life. This is a family owned restaurant that takes care of its customers. Everything is extremely reasonably priced. They aren’t gouging their customers.
Maybe unexpectedly but the breakfast is the real star here for me. You might ask yourself why would I get breakfast at a pizza place? And the only answer I have for that is, you just have to try it. They aren’t trying to do too much. I’m a firm believer that breakfast should err on the side of simplicity and Spring Garden is of the same mindset. It may not be as Instagramable as some of the “fancier” breakfast places in the area or throughout the city, but you’ll be too busy eating it to care about taking a picture. I would put my money on Spring Garden’s breakfast over nearly any other in the city. Let your camera eat second at Spring Garden.
