We started with a desire to help serve our neighbors by offering a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere where everybody knows everybody, excellent service, great traditional American cuisine, live entertainment, and a local watering hole for our friends and neighbors. Over the last 17 years, our menu has changed a bit, our offerings have expanded, but, we have remained true to our roots.

My husband and our children and grandchildren have gone to the South Riding Inn for 23 years. And though I rarely give a negative review I have to say that under the new or current management it has gone downhill drastically. They changed the menu leaving off all wine offerings. When asked they will serve red or white no name screw top wine. The service has gone downhill so fast. It’s so slow the last time we went, three of us, we got our food individually with 5 to 10 minutes between. My guests had finished their meal before mine ever come out. And when it did the cheese was not melted on top. I have spoken with the manager and asked why the change. She just blew me off as “Yeah, we aren’t going to change.” After enjoying this neighborhood restaurant for so many years it’s sad to see a local restaurant limit who they cater to. It’s a big disappointment.

I had the flank steak and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you were in the area the food was 10 out of 10 the service was 10 out of 10 I guess because it’s winter a lot of of the normally warm outdoor restaurants or a little bit chilly but it was OK. The atmosphere was OK. I had a lovely drink alcoholic beverage. That was their seasonal like pomegranate martini or something that was definitely a 10 out of 10 so if you’re in the area, definitely stop through here

Fantastic sports bar with great vibes! The food is really good with a solid menu that perfectly matches the sports bar experience. The ambience is lively, energetic, and fun—exactly the kind of place you want to hang out with friends. Super fun environment, delicious, hot and fresh food! Helen is an awesome server! Variety and wonderful specials ! Drinks , food and music! The kids mac is super cheesy and delicious… the shrimp scampi flat bread ! Yum! The chicken Alfredo is savory! Oh and the sliders are perfectly flavorful and great size!

Always a pleasant and laid back place to go. Kids eat free on Wednesdays (score!). There are TVs everywhere with something to watch for everyone. The food is good with generous portions. Today they were a bit understaffed, but our waitress worked hard and did the best she could with utmost patience for everybody’s demands. The chef will often bring plates out to alleviate the poor waitress, and he loves a good compliment. Smiles from ear to ear. The mini crab cakes (new item) were to die for.

This is a nice little neighborhood bar and eatery. From the looks it has all the elements of a quaint little hangout spot.
The food is marginal at best, which was surprising since it received great reviews from what I read- which is what guided me to this spot.
Now for my biggest disappointment, SERVICE. The sign at the front door read “We ask for your patience due to staff shortage”. Okay and understandable considering the times we are in. However, I was not fully prepared for the lack of caring by the ampule staff on hand. There was no lack of staff (6) for such a small establishment. The staff appeared to actually ignore its customers, some sitting waiting 15+ minutes just to get a menu or for a server to take their orders. The staff spent a good portion of our stay BS with patrons at the bar. They looked like they were having a good time at their customers expense.
Would I return to give the establishment another shot…….probably not. Don’t let this review stop you from trying the restaurant. Everyone should make up their own mind.
For me my mind is pretty much made up. Based on my customer experience I don’t think I would torture myself with another return. I work too hard for my money and I don’t think it’s asking too much for good service and a decent meal.

A convenient South Riding location on the corner of a strip mall, his bar & grill offers consistently good pub food. It’s a go-to lunch spot for our golf group because everyone can find something on the menu they want. I love Thursday fajita days, where the portions are ample (I always have leftovers), and the prices are really reasonable. I took a neighbor for St. Patrick’s Day and, although they had a full special menu, I ordered the Reuben off the regular menu. It was piled high with their in-house corned beef on marbled rye bread. It was a good thing it was cut in half, because there was no way I was finishing it! It came with a big plate full of fries (or sweet potato fries, tater tots or, for an upcharge, onion rings). As usual, my meal was filling and tasty. This is a reliable neighborhood establishment and I look forward to revisiting often.

Huge portions, super amazing food! We got the Cobb salad and a chicken quesadilla and could not finish them. It was the best quesadilla I’ve ever had.
