I was really disappointed with our recent order. We waited 50 minutes for the food to be delivered and when the dishes we received were watery, lacked flavour, and overall were not enjoyable to eat. To make matters worse, we even found a hair in the food, which made the meal completely inedible.
We called to speak with the manager to explain the situation, but were told he wasn’t available and would call back at 8pm. Unfortunately, no one contacted us. By 8:20pm we called again, and the staff member we spoke to, “Maria,” was very unhelpful and came across as quite rude, which only added to the frustration.
Overall, it was a very poor experience both with the food and the customer service, and we left feeling very let down and hungry. £34 wasted and a Friday evening completely ruined.

Visited Royal Tandoori on the spur of the moment on Friday night. We were made very welcome by Maria and Rocky. We were served papdams and drinks promptly. We didn’t order off the menu, just asked Rocky to surprise us with his favourites. The dansak was heavenly, the biryani very fragrant and the sag bhajee was just perfect with the right amount of garlic and spice. Excellent service was provided by the lovely waitress, Maria. Very highly recommended

I’ve been using The Royal Tandoori for more than 30 years, either take away or sit in. I’ve always loved the food but this last couple of times I’ve found the food has very little taste, almost to the point of being bland. Portion size in the restaurant has really decreased too, so I’m not sure you’re getting the same value for money you used to get. I just felt the quality, that used to be there was missing. I completely understand that costs have increased all round but the food shouldn’t suffer.

Visited on Sunday evening. It was fairly quiet but the atmosphere and the staff were great. Maria was very helpful and served my papadams and drinks promptly. Rocky recommended the Mirpuri Chicken and Daba Da Gosht from the casual fine dining menu.. presentation was 10 out of 10 and the taste was heavenly. Finished off with pistachio kulfi. Very highly recommended

“Royal Tandoori” exceeded my expectations with its delicious North Indian cuisine. The paneer tikka masala was rich and creamy, and the naan was perfectly soft with just the right amount of garlic and cheese.The ambiance was warm and inviting, with traditional Indian decor adding an authentic touch. Prices were reasonable for the quality, making it an excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors!

We have been ordering takeaway deliveries from here for about 8 months now and have to say on the whole it’s been just above average but tonight the food was awful
We always order around £30 and with this you get free pops and Bombay potatoes tonight we were 85p short and didn’t get them we thought with the amount we spend they might add them in
But then we opened the food –
Onion Bhaji was burnt inedible
Samosa was cold
A mild dhansak was so hot we couldn’t eat it
A plain curry sauce tasted like something I’ve never had before
The keema nan had hardly any meat and cold plus under cooked in places
Everything went in the bin
We will not order from here again

Friendly little restaurant, with lovely staff. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Hydrabhadi Biryrani which was absolutely amazing! I can heartily recommend.
