Edit/Update: 7/8 We decided to give this location a second chance. This was for an evening meal. There was one other customer seated and no one else arrived during our time at this location. 4 vehicles went through the drive thru the whole time we were there. The person at the counter was very friendly. The Mt Dew was out so we asked if they could change it, this is when it turned bad. The same manager as before said they were too busy. I explained I didn’t mind to wait, she said it would have to wait. It took 15 minutes for the food to arrive. We noticed there was very little Cole slaw and asked the young lady if this was the correct amount, she went to ask, we could hear the manager yelling from the back, ” Are you kidding me!” We told the young lady not to worry about it. Food was good. Mt Dew was never refilled. They said they forgot about it. I didn’t ask for a refund for the drink, we just left, but I wander, how many people in the drive thru left with watery Mt Dew.
We arrived at 7:30 on a Wednesday night, they close at 8. There was one other group of diners waiting on their food. While we were trying to decide what to order the manager, who was slouched over the counter by drive-thru window, announces very loudly, “28 minutes until I get to go home!” We understood what she was meaning. We placed our order and then another group came in to whom she announced the same as she said before except now it was 26 minutes. She then was complaining about how busy the day was, it was Ash Wednesday, so I imagine they were more busy than normal. We were barely seated when the manager walked over and locked the doors at 7:38. People had came up to get in, but unfortunately, the doors were locked and we watched them drive away. We overheard the manager telling drive-thru customers that they couldn’t order a menu item because they had already turned the grill off. We both ordered fried fish and it was good, but I ordered fries and what fries I did receive, I only had 12 and most were little pieces (see pics), they were tough and were very dark like they had sat a long time and were thrown back in the fryer to warm them up. Overall not a real pleasant experience.

I ordered a 8 piece shrimp meal with Cole slaw, fries and hush puppies! My food was REALLY hot and Fresh, and the person at the drive thru window was really nice and professional. She talked to me while they were giving me hot fries! It took a couple extra minutes for the fries but that’s not a complaint! I actually appreciated that she realized the fries that were ready wasn’t that fresh or hot and asked me if I wouldn’t mind waiting a couple extra minutes so they were hot! I don’t mind waiting a couple extra minutes for Hot food!.

The attendant was very nice and polite which I appreciate BUT the fish was half the size they used to be I me like 3 inches long. And I got the 12 piece..more like 6 piece cut in half..never again will I go there for anything ever..$43 does the drain.

Food was good, service was reasonably quick with no waiting in line. No one is at this place and I’m not sure why. The price was a little scary, ($20 for baked fish and shrimp!?)? but otherwise a really good place to stop and eat.

The lady in drive through was fantastic. Food was hot and delicious!!! I’ll definitely be back. The lady that took care of us was really one of the best I’ve ever seen. She deserves a raise . Her personality really was amazing.

I won’t be back for a long while. I ordered in the app and came to pick it up about 5 minutes after the pickup time. I waited for 12 minutes behind one car at the drive through speaker. I expected this. I know there will be a wait when I come here, I bring a book and enjoy the little bit of peace and quiet in my car. It’s not a problem. This time, when I got to the speaker, she told me I have to come in and pick up an app order. So I went in. This time the lady that is always in there complaining loudly was working in the front. She yelled at the poor guy in the back for like 10 minutes, and all he was trying to do was ask her which order she wanted because the screens weren’t working. She yelled, hollered, threatened to walk out, over and over. That’s awkward. I don’t mind waiting in my car, but nobody wants to stand in front of the counter and listen to her yell at the other employees who are just trying to do the best they can during a busy time. That’s just awkward and uncomfortable. I felt really bad for the guy she was yelling at. I’d suggest allowing people who order in the app to pick up at the drive through, that way the employee in the front isn’t trying to run the counter and the drive through at the same time quite so much. And also then I don’t have to listen to her yelling the whole time. I arrived at exactly 6:00 PM and didn’t get out of there until 6:38 PM. Again, the wait is ok, I expect it. The yelling and ridiculous situation inside is NOT ok. The food was good though! I’ll drive to Evansville if I just REALLY want LJS for a while and hope that she gets some therapy or a different job!
The food was great, and the lady working the front counter was really nice and professional. The lady in the kitchen complained loudly the entire time. I ordered online, and arrived about 5 minutes before my scheduled pickup time. I went ahead and let them know that I was there to pick up my order, and sat down to wait. I kind of expected that it wouldn’t be ready yet. But the lady in the back kept complaining about people sitting in the parking lot ordering and then expecting that their food would be ready right away. Not the case, but since I was not irritated with the wait or making any kind of a fuss, I’m not sure why she had such a problem with that. It was pretty unprofessional.
