A simple, clean Mexican Restaurant. Simple menu. Good food. My husband enjoys the lengua (tongue in red sauce). I really like their Chile Verde (pork in green sauce). Great rice, beans and thin tortillas so you enjoy the food without all the masa.
I typically call and pick up on way home from work.

I went to El Nayarit #2 on Hewitt Ave. The ladies there are not nice. I walked in when the restaurant was empty. Since the ladies where there standing doing nothing they did not acknowledge me when I walked in. I asked if I may sit anywhere or if I needed to be seated. I viewed the menu. I ordered the special of the day which cost $12.70. A few minutes later some other patrons walked in. The ladies serve them first and left me for last. I asked for a glass of water and the first lady ignored me. Eventually, the other lady came over and asked if I wanted a drink. I asked for a glass of water. She walks away to serve others then returns to tell me that they only have bottles of water. I asked for a cup like the one she gave someone else and she refused. When it was time to pay she charged me $15.00. I asked her why she was charging $15.00 for a meal that costs $12.70. She didn’t give me a receipt, nor explained. I paid her, but I will never go back. The food was not that good. It was a meh. Honestly, Vallarta and El Super cooked food section has much tastier food, better service, and prices. Avoid them.

This restaurant warms my heart. It feels like having a meal in your Tia’s home. The service is always warm and friendly. And the musicians popping in on occasion is the icing on top. Their voices . Can’t wait to go back.

My mom enjoys this place the pozole was really good, the chilaquiles with out eggs were okay but had to ask for sour cream to put on them. The tacos Dorados were okay. The employees could have been nicer and more polite.
