I’m in town for the weekend and stopped in for a White Chocolate Mocha. The drink was delicious and the perfect jolt of energy I needed. The downside was the wait. There was almost no line, but it still took longer than it should have, for the order to arrive which was annoying due to the fact that they have a drive-thru and they take precedent.
The store itself is surprisingly large, but it feels like the space is not being used well. There’s a lot of open floor space and not much seating. The ratio of space to tables just feels off. Adding more seating and reworking the layout could really turn this into a true hangout spot instead of just a grab-and-go location.

I had a money clip fall from my pocket into one of their (Starbucks, Black Mountain, North Carolina – NC 9 & I-40) visitor chairs. A couple of young female customers spotted it immediately. They turned it over to the shift supervisor Alexis (Lexi). She protected my information and cash. She put it in her safe, I rapidly discovered it was missing called the store. She verified my information and turned it over to me, when I returned to the store about 90 minutes from my home. The coffees were great, the atmosphere was great, and the team is well trained, and courteous! This could have been a very bad thing, but thanks to honest customers, and Lexi, my information was not stolen, nor did I have any cash taken. This impresses me about Starbucks corporate, and the store. So good to have wonderful values and morals in place in this example!

Genuinely one of the friendliest coffee shops around! My dad and I have been meeting up for coffee pretty regularly and had been going to the local shops, but we’ve kind of landed on going to this Starbucks since it’s the only place where the staff remembered us after two visits and will strike up a friendly conversation if they’re not too busy!

staff members were so kind and gentle. I asked for ahetever had the most caffeine and they gave me the run down of all the options, flavors, and espresso shots. I have trouble ordering sometimes because i’m just too quiet, but the staff were so kind when reiterating my order! plus, they wrote a cute little “Enjoy<3" note on the cup which honestly made my day <3

What a nice Starbucks. The barista recommended on a seasonal bean blend and it was great. Nice relaxing “Mountain-style” atmosphere.

Haven’t been in a while so not sure if Starbucks has just gone down hill this much or is just this one. Will never go back. They call them themselves baristas and want a tip Ordered two hot caramel macchiatos and a breakfast sandwich that was supposed to be a double and a muffin. Coffee was watered down and little to no whip cream. Poured it out. What am I taking out of your personal supply? How much can a shot of whip cream cost? Blue berry muffin tasted like lemon for some reason. 25 bucks for breakfast and coffee the breakfast sandwich was even worse. Ordered a double and came with one piece of bacon all the way one side like you would expect at McDonald’s. Over priced and nothing double about it….and they call them themselves baristas and want a tip
