My family and I placed a large order of 160 cash and not one edible item. The food is absolutely disgusting! The taste, texture, size, everything was over all horrible! Do not order from here! The chicken and veggies is just celery, with a few chunks of chicken, a few tiny pieces of over cooked peppers and broccoli. The wonton soup was basically empty wontons with barley any meat, the wonton noodles are soggy, the taste was off, and it was over cooked. We ordered a large soup but it was the size of a single serving. The chicken balls tasted like they were made last week. I called the restaurant to complain and they didn’t try to make it right. Don’t waste your money even if EK2 is the only Chinese restaurant in town. Go out of town for good food.
*Yes I picked up the first part of the order late but that doesn’t change the fact the wonton soup was picked up immediately and that was over cooked and it seemed like it was days old, along with all of the other disappointments of the meal. Apparently if you pay cash you save the taxes fyi they charge more than 50% for tax, my bill was $105 cash or $165 debit & $55 debit for the second order as we forgot to order a few items for our guests. $160 for our meal and not one edible item, everything went into the trash. Ordered cantonese chow mein, bbq pork friedrice and sesame chicken. I have to say, the service is great. The food is great. Ive been hoping for a good chinese place in and around hamilton and this location in caledonia does not disappoint! Better than the chinese restaurants in binbrook and hamilton!

Ordered another cantonese chow mein. This time it came woth more toppings with the same flavour profile! General tsao chicken was on point. Wife even commented how fresh it tasted! Another positive experience

This place changed ownership few times but this time recipes are great ! Food was rich in flavour and tasty proper decent amounts of everything! I had the Singapore noodles and this time were the tastiest from previous owners and orders that I’ve had ! The people are trying really hard to be fast polite and to do a good job ! Everyone in town who knows good food should give it a try !

Was quite disappointed, very lack luster, smaller portions for genral tao chicken. The veg (witch is what I was looking forward to) was really only green peppers, onion and celery, burnt almost and maybe 5 mushrooms, and 7 shrimp. Sweet and sout sauce seems reheated and rice was dry yet greasy (how that happens idk) won’t be back.

Wanted to give this new place an honest try. Got General Tao Chicken, Lemon chicken and fried noodles. Lemon Chicken was so dry I could barely finish it. Tasted freezer burnt. General Tao Chicken sauce had such an awful after taste that did not seem fresh. I had to spit it out. Only decent thing was the noodles and spring roll.

My friend and I were in the area craving Chinese food, so we decided to try this new restaurant. We ordered the Deluxe Dinner for 2, and they were happy to swap out the chicken balls for Cantonese Chow Mein, which we really appreciated. The service was friendly and easygoing, and all the dishes came out hot and tasty. Solid meal overall

Tried EK2 Restaurant in Caledonia for the first time & was really impressed! Placing my order over the phone was easy, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Everything was prepared properly and ready on time.
The food was delicious—every dish was fresh and flavourful, with the standout being the chicken chow mein. So good!
The restaurant does have a few tables if you want to eat in, but it’s primarily a take-out place. That said, the service was quick and the team was welcoming.
Overall, EK2 is a great addition to Caledonia. If you’re craving quality Chinese food, this place is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!

I ordered last night to try it out and it was pretty good. I had chicken balls, chicken wings, cantonese chow mean, and pork rice. I did order battered shrimp that I wasn’t real fond of but other than that, everything was excellent. I’m having it right now on day two and it passes the day two test. Would gladly order again for sure. I would say the chicken balls are some of the best i’ve had.

We have tried many Chinese places around the area for over a year, some that we would drive 30+ minutes to. Each one of them we didn’t like at all. EK2 is by far the best food we have had!!! We are sooooo happy that we finally found Chinese food and our new go to place.
