Reviews
The staff was so warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Our food came out quickly, and there’s plenty of parking, which made things super convenient.
There’s a huge variety of vegetarian and vegan options, which we really appreciated, and everything was very reasonably priced. We tried their special — two for $40 — which includes a 3-course meal with soup and salad, and it was such a great deal.
Definitely planning to go back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!
Atmosphere: 4.7/10 – The space is small and lacks distinctive features, offering a straightforward dining environment. It’s clean and functional but lacks elements that might make it stand out. The simplicity might appeal to those seeking a no-frills dining experience.
Service: 3.8/10 – The service is punctual, particularly with keeping water glasses filled, but the staff’s quietness might not suit everyone. Observing a significant error with another table’s order suggests that service consistency could be improved to avoid impacting the dining experience of others.
Pineapple Fried Rice: 6.2/10 – A satisfying dish featuring a good mix of ingredients like fresh chicken and excellent shrimp. The dish is well-flavored and priced reasonably, offering a decent value for those looking for quality and freshness in their meal.
Appetizer Platter: 6.1/10 – Tasty overall with a highlight being the excellent chicken satay. The variety is appreciated, though the quantity provided does not fully justify the price, particularly when trying to enjoy all the different sauces available. More generous portions would enhance the value of this platter.
The portioning and presentation was very strange as well. I was served a bowl full of the watery curry with a few peppers, bamboo shoots, and pieces of chicken drowning in the curry. I was given a very small plate of a cute but lacking portion of heart shaped white rice. The rice barely lasted through a few spoonfuls of the curry. It was annoyingly difficult to eat the combined dish on the small plate. I dared not place the rice into my bowl of curry, lest it be lost forever in the waves.
The service was very casual and I was questioned whether I was sure about my order. I guess I should have taken that as my sign to leave. They never brought our drinks until after our food was done.
The lighting was dim and there was a weird smell.
In an area filled with great Thai restaurants, I will be happy to never return to this place.
Ordering to-go is super convenient, and the staff is always friendly when I pick up my food. The portions are generous, and the presentation is vibrant, even in takeout containers, which makes the meal feel special. Plus, the strip mall location has plenty of free parking, so it’s easy to swing by and grab my order without any hassle.
My only suggestion, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that I’d love to see a bit more variety on the menu. The current dishes are fantastic, but something like mango fried rice would be a fun addition to mix things up alongside the pineapple version. Spicy chicken wings would also be a great option for those of us who like a little kick. These additions could make the menu even more exciting for regulars like me.
Bangkok Thai is a gem for takeout in Wake Forest, and I highly recommend trying their pineapple fried rice and chicken wings. Keep up the great work, and I’m hoping for those new menu items soon!
