I’ve been coming here for 20 years and the food is fantastic. I usually get the Chesapeake chicken sandwich on a kaiser roll with lettuce mayo and onion. I also get an order of poppers which are the best. The lemonade is good as well.

A long-standing establishment in the Parkville community. I’ve been coming here on and off for forty years. I haven’t been for a number of years, so while I was in the area recently, I stopped in. I ordered the pit beef sandwich. The bun was doughy, fresh, and kept the juiciness in without causing the bun to become damp and difficult to handle. Bread is an oft-overlooked component of a good pit beef sandwich. Meat was good but a little dry. And the fries were solid. Nothing truly negative stood out to me. This was a good middle-of-the-road pit beef experience.

Pit beef was dryer than a charcoal briquette in the middle of the Sahara desert. Ate half of the sandwich and threw the rest away.
The ribs were pretty good 4/5. And it’s a good thing I ordered 1/2 slab of the ribs since the pit beef sandwich was pure trash.

This is a nice takeout place in Parkville. Got the pit beef and fries with a drink for the combo. The sandwich was on a roll. They offered rye and wheat also which maybe I should have done. The roll was a bit thick which overpowered the beef. The beef was a little more well done than I prefer but it was tasty.
The fries were terrific. Boardwalk style. Hot and well salted. Really good.

Very disappointing.. not what it use to be that’s for sure. use to get hot , charcole pit beef. It was sliced roast beef on a thick roll.. soggy, greasy fries.we will skip next time back in town. End of an era sad to say.

This food wasn’t good at all, it doesn’t taste grilled, the hot dogs were terrible very skinny and big bun. I’m sorry I wouldn’t recommend. The ribs were small and tender but doesn’t seem like they were grilled they dumped a whole bunch of sauce on the ribs after they were done, we just didn’t like them and we hate that we wasted our money. Only thing was good was the French fries nothing else.
