Visited Coda Del Pesce recently and had a really nice experience overall. The seafood was the standout — fresh, flavorful, and clearly the focus of the menu. I ordered a pasta dish with seafood and it was cooked perfectly, with a sauce that felt light but still rich enough to bring everything together.

The atmosphere feels polished but still comfortable, and it’s a great spot if you want something a little more special than your typical dinner out. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, especially when it came to menu suggestions and wine pairings.

I’m giving it four stars because it is a bit on the pricier side and the wait can be longer during busy times, but the quality of the food and overall experience make it worth it.

This was a great experience for my wife and I. The restaurant was so cute, and our service was very helpful. She helped select a nice glass of wine to pair with my food, while also walking us through the highlights on the menu.

A must visit for anyone looking for good seafood or pasta while on the island.

This was our first time at Coda Del Pesce. We were excited for the food and experience. We were seated at a table near the hallway that leads to the back kitchen and our table was very brightly lit compared to the intimate ambiance at other tables. Staff would walk down the hallway saying ‘corner’ every 2 minutes. One staff member was particularly loud. The food was okay. The grouper serving was small and my wife’s clam entree was served with a bucatini type pasta instead of thinner spaghetti as stated on the menu and sauce was like a lumpy gravy. Also, it took a very long time get our second course. Service was very good. Erica was very attentive. For the cost this meal, I would expect 5 stars in all categories. I would recommend that you not seat people at that table as it ruined our experience.

The Hungry Detective and new sidekick had a fabulous experience at my old new favorite Italian spot in Charleston!!!

The food: started with the grouper braciole served up super hot in a La Cruset covered mini pot.

Main courses….The tile fish is five stars and the plate was clean…”better than sex”

Wine: Michael selected a fabulous red from Sicily!!!

VERDICT: I usually do not go out on a limb but Coda de Pesce goes above and beyond the call of duty and guilty as sin for doing everything to perfection!!!

Note: Sit at the bar….Michael the bartender is a true professional and knows his stuff…great suggestions that were on point!!!

Great little northern Italian with a nicely curated wine list, well prepared dishes, and happy friendly service. Menu isn’t extensive but what’s on it offers a good selection. Can’t wait to go back.

Coda del Pesce brings fresh, Italian‑seafood flair with dishes like calamari Bolognese, grouper braciole, and wreckfish in a crispy potato crust. Gorgeous ocean view and smart wine pours make it a memorable, elegant dinner.

One of, if not THE best, restaurant for food in Charleston. Had several courses and every single one was just amazing. The chef really knows what he’s doing with flavor. It can be hard to get a reservation, but totally worth it!

We had high expectations based on reviews and descriptions. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Food was good, but not something what you have never tried as described in other reviews. It was also inconsistent. Even bread, when one order was great and another was mediocre. Besides, it was always a feeling that we have to finish as soon as possible since other customers are in line. My “favorite” part was that we were asked to place our order for appetizers and main dishes at the same time since it is “more convenient” for the chief…

Words cannot explain how good the food is here. I have been to many up scale restaurants in my life and this is easily #1 on my list. Chef Ken Vedrinski puts on an absolute experience. Also, the atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. We will be back, already planning another date night. Thank you for making our Anniversary a memorable one.

My wife’s birthday was expertly served by Angie. She’s extremely knowledgeable and kind. Eric seated us at the window for a beautiful view. The oyster appetizer was innovative and delicious. The swordfish was tender and fresh. We had a memorable time and look forward to our next visit
