Coffee Aficionado Here! – Great place in a small town, featuring whiskey barrel rested coffee and if you like that or coffee flavored drinks, this is a place to stop… no for me though, but non-whiskey options are offered. I saying to stop by to anyone and enjoy a nice shop if in the area, enough parking and good Sourdough bread too. But if you are a coffee aficionado, keep reading.
I chose an Ethiopian pour over but unfortunately the whiskey barrel notes overpower the naturals. Seems like coffee is roasted onsite in the same room and inevitably will carry the whiskey notes across all roast eventually.
Not all baristas follow proper protocols, except for one I watched while making a flat white, others rushed the process and failed to clean the stem wand immediately (sorry, this is a big no-no for me). Pour over technique is poor, my coffee was handled by two baristas so wasn’t sure what the rhyme or reason was, but fully aware that pour overs are hard to manage in a coffee shop. However, that earns a “waypoint” in my book :).

Everywhere else in walking distance was closed, so me and my friend decided to go here. We went inside and the interior was extremely welcoming and clean. I asked if they had any alternatives to coffee, and both ended up getting a frozen blueberry raspberry lemonade. We sat down at the high bar area and drank it, finding it genuinely good enough to come back again. I am a female with diagnosed Aspergers and the employees were very patient and sweet. The person serving us seemed very happy about a two dollar tip, compared to the 11 dollar cost for the blueberry muffin and scone we got after our drinks, which was very sweet. I highly recommend.

Regular customer here. I come to Barrel House at least a couple times a week. I’m not a fan of coffee but Barrel House still offers non-coffee drinks such as teas and lemonades.
I’ve liked it better since they remodeled and expanded their building as it made room for more comfortable seating.
The one thing about Barrel House though is that the drinks are never consistent. One day your coffee may be saturated with flavor and the next day your drink may mostly be milk. This is probably because they have so many employees.
What makes Barrel House unique is their Barrel aged drinks. Given the name, they age beans in barrels that once contained bourbon. If you don’t like the taste of bourbon though you can always order a drink with regular beans and not barrel aged beans.
Today I got an iced hot chocolate and my mom got a non-barrel aged iced snowflake latte from their limited edition holiday drinks list.

I’m not a coffee person, but me and my friend were looking for a quick snack so we checked this place out. My, was I surprised! The didn’t just have coffee but much more. I got the frozen raspberry lemonade and the blueberry muffin. The blueberry muffin was soft, buttery and sweet. The service was outstanding and the over-the-counter employees were very kind and patient. The restaurant overall was clean and friendly. I 100% recommend this place.

I was looking up coffee shops on the way back from a trip, and noticed this place has very good reviews! I knew I had to try the barrel-aged espresso, which sounded intriguing to someone who is a HUGE espresso lover. I ordered a 16 oz iced latte with barrel-aged espresso and just a little simple syrup so I could experience the espresso’s flavor. Here are the details for my fellow coffee connoisseurs.
– Milk-to-Espresso Latte Ratio: 16 oz 2 shots or 20 oz 3 shots
– Syrups: not made in-house, with a few exceptions (coconut, banana, maple)
– Espresso: I tried the barrel-aged so I can’t speak for their regular espresso, but it is not for me. The burnt bourbony flavor overpowers the cup, and yet the espresso still tastes weak. Even if the coffee I order is subpar I still try to finish it, but this one had to go in the trash.
– Service: The website encouraged me to ask the barista about their barrel-aged process, so I did, among other questions that I always ask before ordering a coffee. The woman taking my order seemed annoyed with me and I did not feel welcomed.
The atmosphere was cute and I appreciate the unique approach they take to roasting their coffee in-house. The barrel-aged coffee was a huge miss for me personally. If you’re wondering whether or not to stop here I would advise you to mosey on, but see for yourself! Maybe it will be better for you 🙂

I’m giving them three stars for only one reason. I love their coffee and I always love to come here and get a Matcha because they have SO many flavors you can add in and it is my favorite coffee shop in all of Canton and Woodstock. But today there was a dog in the coffee shop and it did not appear to be a service dog and I was kindve just grossed out. They have a whole patio, why can’t you ask the customer to keep the dog outside? Just gross to me. Other than that I do usually like this place a lot

Fantastic coffee shop! So glad I found it. It’s about a mile or 2 from the interstate, but well worth the pull off. They roast their coffee beans onsite and as you walk up, you can smell the most amazing scent of roasting beans! They also have barrel aged coffee, which had a very unique taste, you have to at least try it. Non aged coffee available as well. Love the seasonal/specialty coffee menu. Cozy interior vibe with a lounge area with a sofa, in addition to standard tables.
I got the Cinderella latte and it was very good, you can really taste the aged flavor for sure. Chipper and cordial staff. I’d come back for sure.
