I came here with a group. Appetizers took 30 minutes to come out while the entrees took over an hour. Food came out at different times, which made things awkward. Some dishes were burnt, though they did remake them. The food itself was hit or miss. Not worth the wait.

I had asked several locals, and they all said that this had the best crayfish around. I’m not a local, and my previous crayfish experience was during travels in China. The Chinese serve larger crayfish, and they are much spicier. The crayfish were a bit bland for my tastes. Maybe my expectations weren’t realistic. There was a single waitress who struggled to keep up with the Sunday afternoon crowd.

Look, I’m usually not one to complain or say I’m not paying. But I respectfully complained… here is the rest of the story! We came to craw daddy’s because we wanted boiled shrimp, we ordered the fried pickles they were excellent! I thought we would order a couple Bloody Mary’s, no don’t order Bloody Mary’s there. They were not seasoned and I had to add salt & pepper and hot sauce. Anyway food arrived we had the family boiled seafood platter. $79. I got a potato off the platter lukewarm and not done. The corn was barely warm on one side and cold on the other. The shrimp was cold and hard to peel. I was done at that point. I did not even try the crab legs but they felt cold… it was not a hot boiled platter, like it should have been. I called our waitress over and stated everything was cold. She said she would take it to the kitchen and have it reheated. I sat there for a second and thought, “ this is not acceptable” and I asked for the manager and respectfully said , I’ll pay for the drinks and the fried pickles but not the platter. The fried pickles were hot and excellent. The Bloody Mary were not but I did drink them, shouldn’t have but I did, because it was better after I doctored it. I told her the bartender needs to work on learning how to make them. The manager was understanding and took it off my bill. I have eaten there about 4 times prior to this visit and usually it’s good. Not sure what’s going on with them. I paid $32 and tipped $8 only because the service was okay and the fried pickles were excellent. We left and went to Roux 61 because we still wanted boiled shrimp. We also had grilled oysters, fried green tomatoes, hot boiled corn and done boiled potatoes and everything was pipping hot and had to actual blow before you took a bite. I should have went there in the first place, because they are always excellent! And that’s the rest of the story. And no I did not tell Roux 61 about my experience at Crawdaddys.

Service was eh, but other than that the food was amazing no complaints there. Some of the best craw fish I’ve had down here.

Great atmosphere, fried pickles, highly recommended. Great prices. Will stick to eating crawfish in Louisiana. Had a two man band. They were delightful.

Gumbo tastes salty and bitter. Only thing fresh about the gumbo was the metal shavings left by the can opener.

Crawfish tasted like the Ponchatoula river. You could just smell the river water or stagnant pond water.
I was so disappointed. Because I drove 12 hours to get crawfish.

Five dead crawfish, mushy, AND they came out almost cold!! Not seasoned in the boil, bland, didn’t give us the sausage that was supposed to be in it so had to go ask for it. Frankly this is the worst crawfish place I’ve been to in YEARS, I’ve been to alot and I will def never stop here again. Shouldn’t have even paid.

Slow service. Appetizer didn’t come until our food came out. While waiting a long time she came over and asked if we were ready for our ticket. I said we haven’t been fed yet! I ordered shrimp poboy. They brought catfish. When I brought it to the waitress’ attention she asked if I wanted to go ahead and eat it. I said no. I wanted shrimp. Waited another 15 minutes and asked another girl if she would check on it. She brought it out to me. There was only one crawfish tail in my husband’s pasta dish. The bill was over $70. It was not worth it at all. I will NOT go back.

We probably should have ordered the crawfish… But we didn’t. Red beans and rice… No good. Shrimp was descent but had been boiled several hours before and was tough to peel. Snow crabs were good though.
