This place was so good, by the time I realised I should’ve taken a photo of my food I already ate it. (Luckily I remembered to take a pic of my dessert)
The staff was so unbelievably kind and friendly.
The atmosphere was extremely cozy.
The food was mouthwatering!!!
The pineapple juice – freshly squeezed.
The french fries – hand cut. (Finally a place with fries that don’t have a pasty texture. The outside was crunchy and they weren’t even greasy )
I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and I couldn’t have gotten a more perfectly prepared sandwich.
Everything was beautiful. AND they were busy the night we came, yet service was quick and no sloppily prepared food.
The quality of the food is unbelievable a delight.
I think this is the best restaurant I’ve ever went to.

Great diner / tavern to stop by if you are in the Lake Minnewaska area. Fresh, flavorful food, good selection of brews. Interesting decor. Polite, professional staff. We needed to stop for lunch and this was a wonderful choice thanks to great reviews before us.

Loved this place! The food was so good. I didn’t get any of the entrees, but they looked amazing (just a little pricey). The crispy Brussels sprouts and chicken wings with blueberry BBQ sauce were out of this world! The Buddha Bowl and Philly Steak wrap were super tasty. Our server Connie was awesome – super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed!

We dined, haven’t been here in about 45 yrs! It has changed hands a couple times since it was Traficanti’s Italian Family Restaurant. It was great then, great now. Tofu Wings are to die for, so was green beans almondine. Wings (5) were very filling. Wasn’t crazy about the Butternut Squash Bisque though. Brown Butter Gnocchi had an unexpected tang to it. Mac and Cheese was good. A bit noisy with 2 very large tables next to us. Service was pleasant and very attentive. Guinness was delicious. Reservations strongly suggested as this place is very popular. We will be back to try other dishes, and we will bring friends!

We made a reservation for the dinner and had to adjust it couple of times due to the traffic, and the tavern was very helpful accommodating it on what appeared to be busy mid-October early evening Friday. The service and the food were outstanding (markedly better than typical NYC joint), so it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is slightly more on the expensive side, but overall experience made it worthwhile.

This spot has a warm, friendly atmosphere, with plenty of locals. I eat and drink here mostly during Wednesday’s music open mic nights, which has a regular roster of mostly guitarists who do covers and originals. Get there before 6 if you want a seat at bar, or make an RSVP on Wed (you can sit in the back room, if you’re not there for the music). I have loved any sandwich, and the unique eggplant Italian-style appetizer and extra crispy brussel sprouts with a tiny tasty type of tomato I’ve never seen anywhere else. Wed specials include a choice of 2 steeply discounted bottles of wine. In warmer months, the open mic takes place outdoors on a hill, with covered seating, fire pits. There’s parking, restroom, and service up on the hill as well. This is a really solid spot I’d recommend to anyone!

Great food, pricey menu, friendly but slow service. If you’re not on a time crunch, this is a great place to eat. Both my husband and I had the Stone House Burger, and it was awesome. (But for a $21 burger, it should be a religious experience.) This was an actual, handmade thick patty that was done right, juicy and delicious. And even better, it was served on an actual roll that didn’t disintegrate around a juicy burger, so very impressed. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet, but her manager had her waiting too many tables, causing the service to be lacking to no fault of her own. Plus, the bartender had bottle beer on the menu he didn’t know about and had to go on a hunt for, then couldn’t locate. Someone dropped the ball on liquor inventory and training. Sounds like this restaurant has a Manager issue that needs addressing. Kudos to the chef, though. Nailed it!

Great food, and very good music! The staff are very nice and polite. We had the tofu wings as the first dish and the Buddha bowl (vegan) and the chicken sandwich as main. Everything was very tasty. And the wood and stone design is also very pretty.

Honestly, I would argue this is hands down the best place to eat in the area – and its not even close.
The food here is phenomenal. I’ve never had a bad experience or a bad dish. I truly think the menu is so well thought out. The weekly specials are always interesting. The drinks are tasty and really capture the season. The portions are pretty decent, especially for the price. Regarding the price, I would agrue they are pretty fair, considering you are paying for high quality cooking and experience.
I personally feel like the indoor atmosphere is super cozy. Its warm and welcoming. The staff really drive this feeling home. Always super kind, welcoming, and accommodating.
I highly recommend Stonehouse and Im hoping the new owners keep it up!
