A Tandoor is the name of a vat-shaped clay oven that is heated with mesquite wood, charcoal, or even natural gas. The oven produces extremely high temperatures sealing the succulent juices of various marinated meats, keeping them juicy, tender, and flavorful!

My wife and I went here for the lunch buffet. The hostess and servers were pleasant and welcoming.
The food was spicy with just the right amount of heat. There are both vegetarian and meat selections. Fresh Naan was offered and delivered warm and delicious. The cost was very reasonable.

A beautiful and well stocked variety of food on the dinner buffet. Quality of chicken and shrimp was excellent. However, the sauces and flavors were lacking and had a diluted quality about them. I have had Indian food in many places for many years and this stuff was not up to par. Food that could have been great but falls short on authentic flavors and intensity. Very pleasant staff and dining room. Maybe their menu choices hold up better than the buffet offerings.

I didn’t know Tandoor had a Fairport location. I went looking online yesterday afternoon for a buffet other than the 3+ star ones that have plenty of food but are not for me.
I am very glad that I discovered this restaurant, and will be back many times.
The food was great! The buffet items were all high quality and fresh. I was able to sample several dishes that I’d heard of but never tasted.
The level of spice for me was just right. Very much present but not overpowering.
Service was prompt and friendly.
I’ll definitely be back.

If I could eat here every night I would. Been eating here since they had the buffet sit down before COVID and the food and service has never once wavered in quality. They will adjust to whatever heat level you like and always get your order correct with a smile. Awesome and kind family! I recommend trying one of their lamb dishes, the meat is insanely tender and tasty.
