This restaurant is a fast-food style Taiwanese spot where you order at the cashier and pick up your food when your number is called.
There are plenty of seats inside. We tried Combo #1, which includes #12 pot stickers and a bowl of sour and spicy soup. The soup was unexpectedly delicious, loaded with ingredients and full of flavor. The pot stickers were served warm (not hot), but the wrappers could have been crispier. The beef noodle was good too. Overall, it’s a decent fast-food restaurant.

Decent higher end fast food chain. For this location, potsticker is a must! And probably anything noodles. We didn’t get dumplings here as I don’t remember caring too much from a different location. But for potsticker, I’ll request it to be fried longer next time. Bafang is a chain. I feel it’s like a Din Tai Fung (chain, cleaner sterile or commercialized version so it’s not awesome, it’s just minimal decent). It’s probably the lowest or minimum expectations of taiwanese food. The SO says he’ll rare this place 6 out of 10 haha The food to sauces just reminds you of almost higher end fast food but Taiwanese style.
$17.50 Beef Noodle Soup is huge!!! It’s not included in any combo. Broth was okay, a bit water down but at the same time salty with it’s soy sauce taste? I can taste the herbs inside but it’s definitely overpowered. The meat is okay, not tender but it is edible.
$16.50 Pork Chop, Signature Noodle and lemon black tea combo was simple. Pork chop was very underwhelming. It felt like a McDonald patty. Noodles were great! Lemon black tea is not customizelable; you can’t change the sweetness in it. It’s more zesty and less sweet than hong kong cafe types in Monterey Park. Also, a different review said they got boba milk tea but the staff told us only lemon black tea…..guess there’s inconsistency in info?
$6.50 6pc Potstickers filling was delicious, and I loved the skin but the bottom fried side needed to be fried more. If it was fried longer for a crisp, it would be perfect!! I love the thin skin. Different from northern style or canto thicker skin.
Random but the restrooms are a bit weird with their lock. Anyone with hand arthritis issues will have a difficult time with it. There’s no towels but air blow dryer. I noticed lots of toilet seat covers in the trash can. The staff cleaning the table was pretty rude in directing us to the trash area.

They have a decent variety of pot stickers and noodles. Maybe less authentic than a full fledged dumpling restaurant, but it still hit the spot. I had the combo number three, which has six signature dumplings and six signature potstickers and a big bowl of corn chowder for $14.95. It was definitely a decent size portion. My daughter had the bowl of beef dry noodles for $14.50. She enjoyed it. The corn chowder leaves room for improvement. I didn’t know it had egg in it and it was a bit watery.

Ordered the #1 combo, #8 combo, and an oolong boba milk tea with half sweetness. The Oolong boba milk tea was decent for a non tea shop and went well with the meal. The #1 combo had a good sweet and sour soup as well as a set of dumplings. These dumplings tasted great with the build-your-own sauce that you can create at a separate station. The #8 combo includes a tea drink already and has old fashioned noodles and a crispy fried pork chop. The old fashioned noodles had a nice soy sauce base with some light greens. The crispy fried pork chop was served sliced with some pickled veggies. These pork chops were thin but very juicy and tender. Service here was very fast from ordering at the counter to getting our digital buzzer to alert us our food was ready. The interior has a lot of dumpling inspirational text about their background and such. The location is in a somewhat busy mall area with plenty of parking and shares retail space with a few other trendy meal options.

The food was absolutely delicious—just like the taste of home—and well worth the trip. However, the front desk staff’s attitude was quite poor, and I strongly recommend improving the service.

With a fairly simple and limited menu, you would think this very famous franchise would really hit it big. But honestly I didn’t quite find anything to be exceptional. I love dumplings and maybe I’ve gotten used to the elevated fare we have out here in LA.
I was expecting something more flavorful and out of all the dumplings I found the sesame noodles to be the most tasty.
I was expecting something better having driven out here from the city.
Still they seem to be consistent and having a consistent well priced dumplings at your disposal isn’t something to be discounted if you live near there. And I would definitely drop by again if I’m on my way back from the valley.

haven’t been here for a while now. for once this place isn’t so crowded. this place had been around for a few years now and it has always been packed. food is still good but changed a little. there is a new dish but i didn’t get to try it, but I’ll definition would return to try it. they did added a fountain drink machine and removed tea options probably due to lack of sales on their tea. their tea was good just not fancy like other Boba shops nearby and kids just like soda more. i would still eat here because it is just simple menu.

Finally get to try BaFang dumpling, my friends have been telling me that it is very good. I got the Combo 1 (signature potstickers w/ hot sour soup), Combo 5 (signature dumplings w/ corn soup), Combo 8 (pork chop, old fashioned noodle and lemon black tea), also ordered the Mala noodle and Soy Wild Mango. Their dumplings are awesome, they really taste delicious, a good amount of meat in them and the outer skin is not too thick. The old fashioned noodle is great, however, too much cilantro in it and I forget to tell them not to put it, so I have to pick them all out. The Mala noodle goes well with the pork chop and dumplings. As for the soups, I prefer the hot & sour, the corn soup is good when it is hot, not room temperature. Finally, the Soy Wild Mango, tastes great but is a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, I will definitely go back again.

The dumplings here are pretty damn good, the wonton soup is also tasty. The reason for four stars is that the noodles are bunk. No flavor at all. The pork cutlet was pretty sub par as well. They also sell big bags of frozen dumplings that you can take home to make. I tried the fried and steamed dumplings and everything has been tasty so far.
