At the heart of our seafood restaurant is our open kitchen, featuring a charcoal smoker, dry-ager, and a custom Demant wood-fueled grill. From the flames, our chefs create Mediterranean-inspired shareable plates. Our ingredients come from local suppliers, ensuring each bite is at the height of freshness and quality.

Reviews
From behind the bar, Maren and Emma (Em & M, if you will) set the tone for the night.
I kicked things off with a half dozen of today’s oysters topped with pink peppercorn dressing — chilled and delightful, like a brisk February morning in Savannah.
Next up: charred cabbage. Who likes cabbage? Apparently, I do now. I peeled it away piece by piece, and somehow it got better with every bite.
Just when you think we’re done, out comes the flounder filet with a golden raisin gramolata Absolutely mouthwatering. Bringing things to a close, the neighborhood never disappoints, I wrapped up the night meeting a couple of new neighbors — plus a first, second, and third-born trifecta.
Do yourself a favor and put Fish Bar Savannah at the top tier for food and service in Savannah.
While we didn’t feel our main dishes were taking long, the manager brought two glasses of Rose to our table as a way to celebrate our day, but also to acknowledge that the sea bass was taking longer than planned. While unnecessary and unexpected, it was a nice touch. Our meal ended with a delicious chocolate tort on the house that we shared.
The ambiance, special details, and attentive staff are all reasons we would highly recommend this gem. Reservations recommended, and while we didn’t do it, you can also request chefs seating. Enjoy as we did.
The flavors were deep, rich, but not too heavy, had enough acidity, and had just the right balance to give an incredible taste. The texture of the bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The cabbage hard charred edges that brought a smokey flavor with a crunch to it. The calamari had a smokiness that came from being cooked over woodfire and a sourness that came from the preserved lemons and it was a delight to eat.
This restaurant has a distinct personality in that they use live-fire from wood to cook their food and you can taste it.
Everyone (from our server to the other people that brought our dishes) explained each dish clearly. You can tell everyone was trained well to be knowledgeable about each dish and what was in it and how it was made and the taste it brings. Everyone was extremely pleasant to interact with, were friendly, and seemed to like their job which made the interactions a delight!
Also, the way they scraped the crumbs off our table and folded our napkin after we got up from our chair to go to the bathroom reminded me of how the service is in Michelin one star restaurants we’ve been in.
If Michelin came to Savannah, this restaurant will definitely be mentioned either as a recommendation and has the potential to win a star.
GO TO FISHBAR!!!!!!!!! you won’t be disappointed
Now the food—simply phenomenal. Every dish tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell real care goes into both the ingredients and the execution. From the first bite to the last, it was a flawless experience. We tried variety of stuff oysters, sweet potatoes, roasted cabbage, flounder, ceviche everything was top notch!
This place has already set the bar high and is easily on its way to becoming a must-visit spot. Incredible food, impeccable service, and a wonderful atmosphere—can’t wait to come back! ✨
What resulted was one of the most interesting and genuine culinary experiences I’ve ever had . Without even going into the wonderful design , lighting and atmosphere of this place … We were blown away with two things : the food and the people.
You can feel the love here. It permeates intensely from the dishes, the service and the chefs behind the counter. I have experienced this before in restaurants but almost never in a way that seems so palpable.
To get down to the nitty gritty the ceviche and crudo are dynamite starters . The diver scallop was so good I ordered another, the squid ink potatoes and grilled sweet potatoes were excellent and for entrees my wife and I shared the red snapper, a perfect coup de grace.
This place is part of a web of amazing restaurants in Savannah and it’s a major credit to the scene. They inspired us to revisit Savannah and actually wrote us a list of dozens of other places to try . The bottom line is , we will be back and will probably be lifelong fans of this restaurant and restaurant scene for the rest of our lives . Shout out to Andrew , Lilly, Victoria and Charlie for exuding passion and kindness that inspires.
I’m going to say it again , we will be back
Clay was a wonderful waitress and did a great job taking care of me her shrimp recommendation was spot on.
Marianne made an awesome coffee and whiskey drink that I really loved. Chef Jack’s cabbage dish with chicken flakes was also delicious. The staff were very kind and welcoming.
