rst time here it wasn’t very busy. We were serviced quickly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We got to meet the owner, he said they’ve only been open for a month. At the first visit here I tried the shrimp cocktail, crispy fish taco and Al pastor burrito. All were very good, I HAD to come back and try the crispy fish tacos again. They had a very nostalgic taste, reminding me of the very first battered taco I ever had. All the ingredients were fresh and the salsas have amazing flavors. This time I had aguaschiles verde, the chicken and asada tacos. This is not just a seafood place, their meats are equally as excellent. The price is fair for quality and quantity of food you’re receiving. I also had their michelada mix with beer; this pairs very well with their food. The establishment itself has a nice ambiance; warm and inviting. The staff continuously check on us and removed plates that we were no longer using. I would highly recommend this establishment if you like Baja style food.

The best and freshest Mexican Food in the area. Great vibes from everyone that works there. Both owners are super cool. I’ve eaten there at least 4 times and it never disappoints. Delectably Delicious Thumbs Up

Amazing service and atmosphere. They’ve done a really great job with the place. 3 tacos for $8 on Tuesdays. Our favorite menu items are their breakfast burritos! We will be frequenting this delicious place!

Went for lunch, got the fish taco, chili verde burrito (not on wall menu but they have a sign that says they are serving chili verse and carnitas) and surf and turf nachos. Staff was warm and welcoming, the food came out fast and fresh, places to sit inside and outside, the have jarritos, micheladas and beers, no fountain drinks but they have Mexican Coke. Drive thru is closed right now but they said should be opening in a week. Food was great and fresh and staff was very friendly, will definitely be returning.

Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! I stopped by Baja Shack in Riverside today, and wow — my mind was blown from the very first bite.
I ordered the Al Pastor quesadilla, and let me tell you: the tortillas are incredibly soft, perfectly cooked, and just melt in your mouth. The al pastor was flavorful, juicy, and loaded with that authentic taste — onions, cilantro, pineapple vibes coming through perfectly. Paired with fresh guac, salsa, and all the fixings, it was pure perfection.
The staff here is super nice and accommodating — they made the whole experience feel welcoming and fun. And talk about portions… these beers are huge! I had a big bottle of Corona Familiar, and it was the ideal way to wash it all down while enjoying the spread of tacos, quesadillas, chips, and more.
If you’re in the Riverside area and craving real-deal Mexican that blows every other spot out of the water, do yourself a favor and hit up Baja Shack. You won’t regret it — I’m already planning my next visit!

I’m always down for Mexican food, but when my kids ask for Baja Shack you know it’s a good one. Shrimp taco was so good! Hard to order since everything looks so good.
