My boyfriend and I were in Athens running an errand, and I want to just give a bit of backstory and say that we live an hour away, we are pretty unfamiliar with the area. So we were craving Chinese for dinner and looked for placed nearby to grab a bite to eat. We went to one place, and discovered they were take out only, so we left. We found a hibachi place 10 minutes away, but when we got there it looked insanely small, they must have been takeout only. We were wanting a sit down experience, since we didnt want to wait an hour until we got home to eat our dinner. After the first and second place was a bust, we went on Google to try to find a dine in Chinese restaurant. We found this place, and noticed a lot of the photos looked like people were eating inside, so we drove another 15 minutes there.
Well, come to find out, those photos are OLD. Pre covid. So, we arrived at this restaurant, walked inside and while there were tables and chairs, there was no one inside. And we had drove about 15 minutes from the last place, we really weren’t trying to try to find a 4th place. So we asked the lady at the front if they offered dine-in, and she was super nice and said that we could sit down if we wanted, but that they didnt offer dine-in as a service normally.
So we ordered our food up front at rhe counter, and sat down at a table to eait on our food. And they eventually brought us our food in a takeout bag. And since they didn’t offer dine-in I had to mix rice and veggies and chicken together on the lid of the container which was a little difficult at first, but it was doable!
We heard other customers coming in to pick up their orders, and a couple of them had asked if they were offering dine-in again, and she responded no.
And the food was 10/10! Made eating on my tupperware lid all worth it.
When we walked outside to leave, we did notice that the sign did say “TAKE OUT”. So just keep that in mind! I just wanted to share my experience. Since we went here based on Google photos featuring a dine-in experience. Regardless, we will definitely be doing TAKE OUT here in the future! Highly recommend the Szechuan Chicken and egg rolls!

I’m originally from Cleveland and had a local Chinese restaurant I’d been loyal to for years. When it closed, I was honestly heartbroken and didn’t think I’d find anything that compared. I decided to give this place a try, and I’m so glad I did. The sweet and sour chicken was even better than my old favorite back home. The hot and sour soup was a little different from what I’m used to, but I loved the spice level and the generous amount of mushrooms. I’ll definitely be coming back, this spot might just become my new go-to!

Absolutely the best restaurant in Athens. Out of all the places I’ve tried since moving here, this one always leaves me feeling surprised every time that we have such a wonderful place.
The service is always very quick, food is always super hot, and everything is reasonably priced. The portions are good, and even their lunch specials could be split into two meals.
The food here is fantastic & they have some particularly amazing things for vegetarians. The spicy cabbage stir fry is our favorite, and I definitely recommend you give it a try.

Really consistently good food and service over the last 4 years or so that we’ve lived in the area. The folks are nice and the food is just as good even when students are gone in the summer. All the standards are great, and I highly suggest the Beef and Broccoli if that’s your kind of thing.

Dynasty may not look like much from the outside, but the interior is bright and clean with a friendly staff. Although the standard American Chinese fare here is quite good, the real draw of this restaurant is the menu of traditional Chinese dishes that are available. Just ask for the “other menu” (available in Standard Chinese and English) to sample the delicious options available.

The absolute best Chinese food in Athens (or anywhere actually that I’ve ever tried). They listen to your special requests, and always get it correct. Excellent portion sizes, good prices for the size, good speed on preparation.

Very odd atmosphere on arrival. I’ve never once been there when they had the dining room open. Food is okay and pricey but if you live close it’s convenient.
