However, I had an issue when I needed to use the men’s restroom. It was during the day, and the restroom was being cleaned by a janitor at that time. I politely asked one of the female employees if she could kindly check whether the restroom would be available soon or if I could quickly use it. Unfortunately, she ignored my request completely.
Then I approached another staff member, who looked like a manager or assistant manager — she was organizing lottery tickets. I asked her the same thing, but sadly, she also ignored me.
Restroom access is important for travelers making a quick stop, and some basic courtesy from staff goes a long way.
The food was great, no doubt — but customer service, especially when it comes to helping with restroom access, could really be improved.
I showed her clear proof of my completed transaction on my phone, yet she repeatedly stated that she “didn’t see it” in her system. Instead of properly checking her screen or taking the time to verify the payment before making accusations, she continued to treat me as though I had not paid.
It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I returned all of my items because I refused to continue shopping in an environment where I was being treated like a criminal despite having proof of purchase.
She stated she was “just doing her job,” but her approach felt more like that of a security guard — and there is already security at this location. Customer service should always come first. Being accused of stealing at 7 in the morning is definitely not how anyone wants to start their day.
I strongly suggest this location reevaluate its management and provide better training on customer service and payment verification procedures. Based on my experience today, I would not recommend this Wawa to anyone.
Mistakes can happen, but how they’re handled matters. There was no apology given after it was proven she did nothing wrong. Customer service should include professionalism, accountability, and basic respect — especially when accusing someone of something serious.
I truly hope management reviews their approach and provides better training on how to treat customers with dignity moving forward.

Service really starting to suck early morning 4-6 am. Barely any coffee made, no breakfast sandwiches in display and never anyone help at the registers. I don’t go that often, but for the past 3x the same scenario. Service sucks!!!
