Tried something new for date night, found this little spot hidden, super delicious and fresh. Staff had outstanding customer service. Recommend the tako yaki appetizer, the fried tempura California, tonkotsu ramen & spicy tonkotsu ramen. Can’t wait to come back and try more delicious food! 10000/10

Food was great! We shared the chicken dumplings, egg rolls and spring rolls. The miso soup was great. I had undo noddles with veggies and things ordered by others were Chicken Katsu Ramen, tofu Singapore chow mein.

The dressing on the ginger salad was not what I expected. I wonder if they have their own recipe. I prefer the traditional carrot/ginger dressing.

Went their for the first time this past Saturday and tried their orange chicken bento box since I know I like orange chicken and the box seemed to have a small variety of other foods. It tasted AMAZING! The orange chicken tasted so authentic, it blows fast food orange chicken out of the water in terms of flavor and taste. Our server was a very sweet girl but I unfortunately didn’t ask for her name, my husband had just gotten back from a work trip and we were both tired from the drive back home.

Highly recommend if you want authentic Japanese food and great service!

Osa Izakaya: The Most Authentic Japanese Experience I had so far in DFW

Let’s be real—DFW has no shortage of sushi spots claiming to be “authentic.” You know the type: places where the chef might throw a jalapeño on your roll and call it a day. But Osa Izakaya? This place isn’t playing around. Chef Nicholas and his team are bringing the real deal, and they know it.

From the moment we sat down, it was clear that Osa Izakaya was something special. We started with tempura-fried goodness that was crispy, flavorful, and somehow made us feel like we were making good life choices. The ramen was rich, deeply satisfying, and the kind of broth that makes you forget your problems for a little while. And while we didn’t order the nigiri, we did witness it being prepared—each slice of fish so expertly cut, so beautifully arranged, that we almost regretted our life choices. (Almost. That ramen was worth it.)

But the real showstopper of the night? Chef Nicholas casually crafting an intricate bear out of an orange. Let me repeat: a bear. Out of an orange. At that moment, we realized two things: (1) This man is a culinary wizard, and (2) We will never cut fruit the same way again. The bear was so well-cut and cleaned that it somehow enhanced the flavor—which, frankly, should be scientifically impossible, but here we are.

And because no truly authentic Japanese experience in DFW is complete without a proper drink, we sipped on a Shirakiku carbonated beverage, which was delightfully crisp, bubbly, and made us feel briefly superior to anyone drinking plain water.

But wait, it gets better—Osa Izakaya is about to get its liquor license. That means real Japanese alcohol is coming soon, so you can sip sake and pretend you’re in a Tokyo izakaya (instead of, you know, a DFW shopping center). Oh, and did I mention there’s a free pool table in the enclosed party area? Because nothing says “authentic Japanese experience” like sushi, sake, and absolutely embarrassing yourself at billiards.

Bottom line? Chef Nicholas and his team are delivering something special. Osa Izakaya isn’t just another sushi spot—it’s an experience, a passion project, and a much-needed wake-up call for anyone still eating grocery store sushi. DFW, you have been blessed.

And next time? We’re ordering the nigiri.

First time here with my lady, we were craving ramen and in the area and decided on this place due to their reviews and menu.
The miso spice level two is fantastic with pork. Very tasty, and the spice is just right, taste like homemade noodles(hopefully)
Also got the beef fried rice which was very good and a nice portion. Added some chili oil and made it even better. To start off this party though we had the Crab Rangoons and those suckers were big! Very tasty as well, perfectly crunchy and crab mix was done right. Although the only thing I did not enjoy was the sweet chili that came with the crab Rangoon as it was very heavy on vinegar. But aside from that, everything was tip top and we are definitely coming back. Perfect spot to stop by for a quick and affordable bite. Service was great and fast, and our waitress was very friendly.

First time trying this place since we got a flyer in the mail.
The cons: was told 20 minutes, had to wait an extra 15 when I arrived. Not a big deal, but, the chicken was not good. Tasted old, according to my wife, the Mongolian beef was tasty but very dried out. Unfortunately there was a hair in our California roll so we stopped eating them immediately.
Pros: the fried rice was great. Very traditional hibachi/Japanese flavor. All the Veggies were well cooked, zucchini, edamame and broccoli from the chicken bento.
Will probably need some time before we return for some take out.

The only issue we had was that when we went to take out our food, we got home and it was missing a $14 plate. Had to drive back to get it. But that wasn’t too bad, they readily admitted to the error and quickly made the food.

The food is fresh, and tasty. My ramen broth was very rich and deep, and at level 2 spice, just hot enough for me. I ordered the kimchi ramen, and it was terrific.

Daughter had a tower and calamari for appetizer. She had the coffee milk tea and enjoyed that.

To go we ordered Miso Soup, Ginger Salad, Yellowtail Sashimi (which was forgotten) and a Spider Roll.

All told it came to $90 with tip. A little pricey, maybe, but there were three very satisfied diners. If you’re there for, say, an appetiser and a ramen you’d be out for less than $25 easy.

Came in for the first time and it was very slow. Only two tables at a time.. i sat at the bar and was greeted nicely. The service its okay… Ordered different appetizers that I’ve been ordering in different places and this place has surprised me the most. LOVED all of them. The calamari is not too crunchy and not chewy like in other places, and the sauce that comes with it is perfect for it. The crab rangoons are so flavorful, its not just plain cream cheese and crab like in other places either. The first bite was an explosion of flavor. I loved it. The shrimp tempura was nice and crunchy And the takoyaki was crunchy outside(which i loved) instead of soft also very flavorful in the inside. Lastly i tried the cherry blossom roll, and the size is very nice and well prepared. Everything here was such a great experience when it came to flavors. DEFINITELY recommend. Will come back, and is definitely one of my favorite places from now on!
