Reviews
Quality / Taste seems similar to Little Italy, some factors better, some worse. The tomato sauce is pretty great and crust texture is pretty nice.
Not high end pizza but definitely fits the role as Stoner Pizza.
Service is solid as well.
Price is a little steep however. $18.00 for a small pizza and drink seems a little excessive. But I’ll keep 4 stars in consideration of the economy. It was also enough to make me full for lunch.
All in all I’d give it a try and see what you think.
Chris was a fantastic host! He’s the new owner/boss and he means business!
This pizza will positively surprise and delight you!
NOTE (29 June 2025): I don’t live in Athens and some locals told me Stoners Pizza Joint WAS not the best BUT Chris took over (ownership?) about three (3) months ago and it looks like he’s working hard to turn the place around.
Our office ordered from them twice. The first time, we paid extra for ranch cups ($1 each, mind you), and instead of getting what we ordered, they just tossed in garlic and marinara like we wouldn’t notice. Okay, mistakes happen. The pizza was decent for the price, so we gave them another shot two weeks later. Bad call.
Same deal—paid for extra ranch, didn’t get it. No heads-up, no apology. When we called, they casually informed us they were out of ranch, so they just gave us Caesar and Greek dressing instead. Because nothing says “ranch substitute” like Greek dressing, right?
Then there were the salads. The menu says Caesar salads come with shaved parmesan, and house salads come with mozzarella. Naturally, they flipped that entirely—shaved parm all over the house salads, no parm on the Caesars. I don’t eat shaved parm, so my salad was basically ruined. And the ranch I ordered with my salad? Nonexistent. Shocking.
Also, the dough is way too tough—either under-proofed, overworked, or both. Get ready for a jaw workout!
On the bright side, the sauce and cheese are actually good. Too bad the rest is a game of culinary roulette.
