The rack of ribs were very burnt. This food is too expensive to get the quality of food served. . The collard greens with 100% vinegar, you mean vinegar with the collard greens because all we had was vinegar. The corn cornbread I don’t know what to say that was disgustingly thick as bread pudding, I couldn’t cut it with a steak knife NOT cornbread, the hardest, thickest cornbread in world . and I am from the south and that was HORRIBLE. Is this what you guys do when people order and deliver food give them crap. Then when you call you get someone like Chris who was rude and hung up in our face NEVER AGAIN #Doordash don’t let the picture fool you it’s burnt tasted terrible.

This is my 1st and last time here. The food was horrible. I got 1/2 rack of ribs, pulled pork, ghost pepper Mac & cheese, greens, baked beans and corn bread. The greens tasted like they dumped a whole bottle of vinegar in the pot. I had to rinse them off and reseason them to even eat them. The “ghost pepper “ Mac and cheese lacked heat and has no flavor except the season they sprinkle on top when they are packing it. The baked beans were tart, the cornbread was hard and doughy. The ribs were super tough and the best thing was the pulled pork and it wasn’t great but at least edible I had to use my own sweet baby ray’s bnq sauce at home because their house sauce didn’t even taste like bbq sauce it tasted like ketchup mixed with hot sauce. I’m so DISAPPOINTED that I spent $54 on this and the only thing I could eat was a pulled pork sandwich

I thought the food was quite tasty and the prices were pretty awesome. It’s a simple type of place, nothing too unique or extravagant. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of sweet cornbread.
Both items were very tasty. The pulled pork sandwich came in a nice portion. The price was awesome at just $9. They had a great ratio of meat to bread. The bottom layer of bread was completely soaked from the moistness of the pork, though.
The meat itself was tender and decently flavorful. Not too fatty thankfully. Their BBQ sauce is very standard and not my favorite, but it did add some solid flavor to the sandwich. The sandwich also has some coleslaw, which is nice. It’s already included with the meat.
The cornbread was quite good as well. Not too crumbly, but I do still wish it were more moist. I loved the cinnamon butter they served with it! Still warm when I got home from the drive. And so, so delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. Tasted almost like cake.
All in all, I definitely enjoyed this place. Very good meat and cornbread. It’s a solid spot that anyone seeking BBQ should try out at least once. Reasonable prices and good portions, too.

Best BBQ. Love this place fast and always accommodating. I do takeout, and it’s always ready when I arrive. Their sauce for corn is amazing. Highly recommend this place. It may seem small but its for those with a big appetite. Make sure your hungry.

Terrible experience. The burger was burnt and very small for a $10 burger. The wings in the ” not BBQ” sauce were disgusting. They tasted like charred sand. The Sauce was super gritty and grossly tangy, almost rancid. I feel ripped off and disgusted.

One of the greatest hidden gems in Pittsburgh. The entire place has a very chill vibe and the staff are all very welcoming. On top of that some of the most amazing BBQ!! really loved the reaper sauce and the smoked wings. And it was all very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants on the south side!

Update: Gave this place another try as it had been six years and I wanted to see if things had changed. Indeed they did, they got worse. The brisket this time was even chewer and had zero smoke flavor at all. It was like someone boiled it for a while then tossed on some Tomato based sauce that also had basically no flavor. The various Mac and cheese options we got also were a big fail. The super expensive seafood Mac and cheese was a big letdown. The shrimp was rubbery, the lobster was rubbery and the crab was lacking.
The wings were the only decent thing we had with the whole chicken coming up behind it.
My advise if your looking for good BBQ is to skip this place there is a lot better in the area.
Original Review:
Decent place, the sauces were good and they had a nice variety of heat levels.
The brisket I had was a bit chewy which is why I docked a star but I would come again for sure.

Listen, we’re not in Kansas anymore. I’m under no illusion that you’re going to get real southern BBQ anywhere in Pennsylvania, let alone smack in the middle of the city. So maybe it was because my expectations weren’t sky high, but regardless, I was blown away by this joint!! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone, the pulled pork is juicy and flavorful, and the sides are worth the extra cash (particularly the baked beans)!
No wonder the door was swinging open all night. I’ll be coming back for round two!

Doordashed. Cornbread was not edible which I’ve never had happen. Mac n cheese and pulled pork was just mediocre. Could have made better at home which isn’t saying much
