We really enjoyed our meal at viva burrito. We dined in for lunch and I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas. My mom ordered a steak chimichanga without the sides of rice and beans.
I loved loved loved my fajitas with onions and cheese and green peppers. The seasoning was exquisite and very flavorful. The meat was really fresh and well cooked. Everything is cooked to order so it was really fresh. The pico and lettuce were also some of the freshest and high quality I’ve had along with the guacamole and sour cream. Just overall really delicious and we had a phenomenal experience. It’s pretty causal and a lot of people picked up or ordered take out.
We also got some chips and salsa to start.
A lot of people seemed to order or come pick up the red snapper which was popular!
Highly highly highly recommend for anytime you are craving Mexican food. I’m so glad I tried this place instead of just grabbing chipotle.

SO GOOD. Truly amazing burrito and you can really taste that the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The two guys working were incredibly sweet too. Definitely recommend

Ordered ahead with a steak fajita today. I get this every time and usually it’s good but today they forgot to make my order even though the restaurant was empty.
They made it on the spot but the meat was ROCK hard and tasted awful. Very unhappy with today’s experience.

Viva Burrito is one of my favorite spots in town. The food’s always super fresh, and the portions are legit. I got the steak burrito and it was packed with flavor — definitely hit the spot. The staff is always cool and welcoming too, which makes a big difference. It’s just one of those places that never disappoints. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Just had one of the best chicken quesadillas I’ve ever tasted. The tortilla was perfectly grilled—crispy on the outside but still soft enough to fold around the cheesy goodness inside. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right, not dry at all. What really set it off was the blend of melted cheese and a hint of spice that gave every bite a little kick. Paired with some fresh salsa and sour cream on the side, it hit every craving. Definitely coming back for another one.

Haven’t had Viva burrito for almost 10 years when they had 1 store in the West end, but was reminded by a friend. Couldn’t get the thought out of my mind so I checked out the new (to me) location.
Parking is still terrible, but the burritos are still the best I’ve ever had. Online ordering is fantastic, can’t wait to order again

This easily outclasses any build your own burrito place, be it Chipotle, Amelia’s, or even El Jefe’s. I think I’m a bit over the whole trend of going down the line and picking all of the toppings, so it’s nice to simply order whatever protein you want and have a simple burrito with rice, beans, salsa, and cheese.
You may have to wait a minute or two longer, but the simplicity allows the product to be focused and vastly superior to any alternative. The menu may seem big, but the actual variety of things to order is actually rather small, which is a good thing. It means that everything there is of a high quality.
I ordered a carnitas burrito, which was relatively cheap and generously portioned. It wasn’t overloaded with rice and beans so the proportions of each ingredient was nice and each bite had a good amount of everything. The pork was nicely seasoned and most importantly, the burrito was very tightly wrapped and remained in tact until the last bite, with no spilling or dripping from the bottom.
I also got a fish taco which was understandably on the pricey side, but was pretty big and also delicious. Good assortment of toppings on it and the fish was nicely cooked and light. The wedge of lemon and the sauce that came on the side were a nice touch as well.

Tried Viva Burrito for the first time at their Peterborough St. location near Fenway, and I am sold. The outdoor seating, cleanliness and cozy feeling inside were nothing short of amazing. I tried the Seafood Burrito and Big Monstah Smothie – and it was honestly one of the best i’ve had, the scallops, salmon mixed with rice and beans blend was delicious. Very big portion sizes for a reasonable price. Good vibes all around, the people working there were very easy going and welcoming; shoutout Alex and Kymel. Easy go to spot from here on out. To top it all off, their tres leches cake was very smooth. 10/10.

Delicious! Got the Crispy Shredded Tacos – you get 2 for $10. Ask for the extra hot sauce – so good. Comes with rice and beans. Definitely worth it. Nice little spot with outdoor seating.
