My wife scheduled an afternoon tea for 4. We had a fabulous time for the afternoon tea.

We are snowbirds visiting from Minnesota and absolutely love the Copper Kettle. Staff are super friendly and welcoming and the tea selection is fantastic. They also serve wonderful food. What a treasure for Foley, AL.

*Opened back in 2014, the Copper Kettle Tea Bar in Foley, Alabama, is a true gem. They are known as “The Little Tea House with the Big Heart.” Situated in the last original building on Chicago street, which was built in the early 1900s, this house was also home to railroad workers in the 1930s. Half of the charm of the business is the small indoor area, which accommodates just 25 people and is decorated to the hilt. Outside, the charming other half, is where you can eat and drink tea in whimsical seating areas under large oak trees. It’s super quaint. The Copper Kettle offers classic food items like scones, desserts, soups, and over 100 varieties of tea. Their soups come in flavors like cheesy broccoli, mulligatawny, French onion, cheesy cauliflower, harvest vegetable, fall buttery herb potato, tortellini, etc. Scones come in fun seasonal flavors like cranberry orange, apple spice, blueberry cinnamon, white chocolate raspberry, vanilla bean, apple cider, cranberry spice, etc. Seasonal desserts could include fog chaser brownies, maple Bundt cake, lemon lavender pound cake, chocolate chip vanilla poundcake, etc. They serve lunch, but you need to call and reserve your order 24 hours in advance. I’m sure their inventory changes daily. The staff is super friendly and really knowledgeable about all the teas. Take time to look around. If you want to walk off some of the desert, Foley has a great park across the street with sidewalks and benches. You’ll really enjoy your tea, you’ll remember your visit here, and you’ll be back!

We found a lovely hobbit house where we enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea. The adults chose the Duchess Tea, complete with cucumber sandwiches, berry scones, and chocolate cake. Meanwhile, my daughter was thrilled with her Teddy Bear Tea, which she shared with her bear, Rainbow. Her tower was filled with PB&J, candy, yogurt, and fruit—perfectly suited for her.
Everything was delicious, with locally sourced ingredients used whenever possible. The staff was attentive, kind, and made the experience feel extra special. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Foley, Alabama again.

Highly recommend if you love tea, a whimsical atmosphere, and great customer service. The daily dining menu is ever evolving but seems to cater to both vegetarians and omnivores. The selection of tea is phenomenal, thus far the most robust that I have seen anywhere, and I have been to many tea houses all over the country. We are going to return for their Royal Tea, and I simply cannot wait.

The Copper Kettle Tea Bar is an absolute gem tucked away downtown, right near the Foley Train Museum. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff who made the experience feel personal and cozy. The space inside is quaint and intimate—while seating is limited indoors, they offer outdoor seating that’s perfect for enjoying nice weather and people-watching.

I tried the dill pickle soup, and let me tell you—it was hands down one of the most unique and flavorful soups I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced with that tangy dill punch and creamy texture. I paired it with a warm, gooey blueberry lemon scone that was simply heavenly; every bite melted in my mouth. They offer a huge selection of teas to explore, so there’s truly something for everyone.

If you’re in downtown Foley, this place is a must-visit spot for a cozy meal, delicious teas, and outstanding service. Highly recommend stopping by, whether you’re a tea lover or just looking for a memorable dining experience.

We had a wonderful experience at the Copper Kettle. The staff is incredible hospitable and accommodating, the host is so friendly and enthusiastically explained the daily menu to each guest as they came and went. The selection of tea is outstanding; I definitely recommend making a reservation for their specialty tea and food offers as everything is made from scratch. The scones were a bit dry but otherwise the food was delicious. The decor makes the experience so immersive. Please give this a try!
