I just completed a catering order, but McAlister’s needs to make some small improvements before I would recommend or do it again.
Here were the issues:
1. I ordered 8 quarts of soup. They put 7 of the quarts awkwardly in one box, and one quart in a bag. I was handed these items. At no point was I offered assistance to my vehicle or to even open the door with my hands full. A simple offer would have gone a long way.
2. When I got to the car, I inspected the quarts. I’m glad I did because of their awkward placement, they were essentially rubbing up against each other causing 3 of the tops to partially come off. The only one wrapped was the single one in a bag. All 8 quarts should have been wrapped for clean transportation.
3. There was a discrepancy of soup in each of the quarts. Some of them were almost full, which is adequate, but others look liked like they were shorted by a bit. I weighed them, and I had containers going anywhere from 750 grams to 879 grams. I should have 674 more grams of soup if all were filled around that 879 grams mark.
Aside from all of that, the soup was warm after traveling and perfect to serve at a gathering. If McAlister’s had a least offered better service and gave the proper amounts paid for, I would have rated this experience better.

A shout-out to McAllister‘s for an excellent red beans and rice side dish. Being from South Louisiana where red beans and rice is a tradition, I was not optimistic. What a pleasant surprise! (Now that the Popeyes side dish of red beans and rice has become so disappointing, this is a joy)

The restaurant was clean and nice. On a cold day, the a/c was on full blast. I mentioned this to an employee, not as a complaint, but to please correct it. Nothing was done and it was very cold inside.

Very disappointed with the food we recieved through doordash the other night. Paid $7 for my “wrap” which was more like a roll up… put a comparison picture down below. The potato on the left looks like it had been scrambled up and the one on the right had more cheese than potato! This has never happened to me before at any Mcalisters so I was very dissatisfied I paid for this disaster

Review for today 7/12, 1:25 in the afternoon. Service improvement needed. Check your order before leaving. Come on people, remember the side dish! Also, the bag had the wrong sandwich!! My husband ordered Chicken Caesar and got cold cuts. The salad was good but had a small amount of chicken. Ruben very good.

The sweet tea tasted it was at the bottom of the canister, it was unsweetened. I ended up getting a soda. The blackberry flavor wasn’t favorable. They didn’t have any pickles to enjoy with the sandwich. The sandwich tasted dry. The Mac and cheese tasted like a blob of melted cheese. The broccoli and cheese soup was ok. The line was incredibly long. I had better service and food at other Mcalister’s. I’m very disappointed.

Wow lived here in Fort Mill for almost 2yrs and never been here. All l can say is amazing, best take out in years! Staff and management should be so proud, the pick two we had half Club Sandwich, choice meat, great toast on the bread, green goddess salad, dressing on point, crisp lettuce and bacon, fresh avocado, lots of egg, cannot rave enough how good this is!!
Hubby got the tortilla soup he said best ever and half Ruben which was awsome as well. Do not skip dessert we will share a piece of pecan cheesecake !!

Had a whole order of $50+. Took my salad to work on night shift (where the hospital cafeteria is closed after 10pm), and found a bug in my Caesar salad after eating about half of it. I’m just about getting ready to sue, with how HANGRY I am.
