Love this place!! Run by a lovely couple, this family restaurant has never disappointed. We have come here a number of times, and everyone from my 90 year old grandma and my little cousin have all loved their meals. Everything tastes fresh and quality. There are several traditional Haitian recipes (the Snapper special was particularly ~special~) and Classic American brunch options , but most of the menu is somewhere in between (eg. salmon burger on coco bread, jerk chicken and Belgian waffles). Yum! The husband is the chef and the wife, Ore, is both the namesake and the host/server and is absolutely delightful. Generous portions at a reasonable price and bottomless coffee are a bonus 🙂

What an unexpected gem we found during our kid’s hockey tournament! We stopped by for breakfast and…wow….I was blown away. Hands down one of the best and most unique diner breakfasts I’ve ever had (definitely not your typical eggs-and-potatoes situation).

They serve homemade coco bread, sweet plantains, shrimp, grits, and other amazing touches that make every dish feel special. We loved it so much that we went back the very next morning to try more. Too bad we were only in town for two nights!

Highly, highly recommended if you’re anywhere near the area.

Ore A Love Story is a gem of a place and you are missing out not to experience it. The breakfast dishes are delicious and like nothing I’ve had before. I’ll definitely be returning so I can make sure to try everything!

Loved the shrimp and grits, super cheesy, the fried egg was perfect and the bacon brought the plate together. The Portuguese French toast was perfect. Jerk wings were not jerk to me or my friend, tastes really good but not spicy at all. I did not enjoy my drink at all, it tasted like watered down juice (Welch passion fruit juice). The servers were really nice, met the owner who happened to be our server and she was friendly and super accommodating.

Low key and casual but tasty food, beautiful presentation, and great service. I got the French toast on Portuguese sweet bread and it was delicious- topped with fresh fruit. My family loved it, including my children and parents. The waitress was lovely. The service timing was appropriate for most of our food (my daughter’s lobster omelet took a while but she had other things to eat during the wait). Culture fusion of Black American and Caribbean cuisine. Nice gem for Stoughton.

I went today I ordered shrimp and grits with a drink, the drink was $14 tasted old idk if it’s the syrup mix or something they put in it but I did not taste refreshing the shrimp and grits had the red oil sauce thing that wasn’t pleasant and these rubbery/hard pieces on the body that felt like shell, I walked out of the door paying $48 for a drink, shrimp and eggs. Which is a completely unjustifiable price point with the quality of items I got today, between the pricing and quality of items I got today I’m not sure who the target audience is, I just know it’s not me.

I recently ordered food from this restaurant and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The food was not good, and on top of that, no utensils were provided — no spoon and no napkins were included with the order.

These details really matter for takeout orders and affected my overall experience. I hope the restaurant can improve both food quality and attention to basic essentials in the future.

Expectations were very high coming here based on all the positive reviews. Place had plenty of parking but can get packed. Workers were super busy but when we entered but got seated quickly. It took a while to get the food after ordering though.

Beef Patty taste like it should and is more fresh than the store bought ones. Surf and turf was okay but portions were a bit small. Jerk chicken with waffles were good but not amazing. Chicken was a tad dry. Ice coffee ☕ was a bit diluted.

Hands down one of the most delicious meals i have had the joy to experience. The staff were welcoming and kind, the space was warm and clean and the music was just boogie enough to transport you to warmer places.10/10 excellent all around – we will be back.

update: We revisited with a bigger crowd – Consistently one of the best places we’ve eaten at. Don’t think twice – this place is a hidden treasure!

✨They ONLY do takeout✨

We arrived around noon to eat lunch and catch up with friends. We told that they only do takeout.

I’m not sure when this started because the pictures in this reviews are all of people eating at the restaurant and there’s a full restaurant there.

There’s a lot of hard things going on in the world today, so I want to exercise grace. I do think it’s important to let people know before they drive out there because the whole point of us going there was to meet for lunch.

When we checked out restaurants nearby most of them were full and not what we were looking for anyway. It just would’ve been really nice to know before we drove out there.
