Good quality fish. Had the 5 piece sushi sampler, avocado bomb (highly recommended), spicy tuna (wished they Julianned the cucumber), and Crunchy Tiger Hidden Dragon (a little light not as heavy). Wife had Mongolian Beef which was good flavor, a good different spicier twist than I’ve had before, and tempura.

Excellent service. Had to eat here two lunches in a row. The sushi here is like art. Eat here and you won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely loved this place. Super cute display of food, respectful and thankful waiters/staff. It was so nice coming here to calm down after a long day. Very reasonable prices for their excellent food. I will definitely come back with friends and family, and I will totally recommend it to all of my friends for sure!<3

Hands down the best sushi place in the valley. Beyond the incredible quality of sushi you get you just can not beat the prices for the quantity you get. I got the spicy tuna combo which was three rolls for $18. That is $6 per roll & a filling combo with a delicious spicy Mayo sauce over the top. The servers are always welcoming and the sushi chef’s are incredibly fast with their preparation of your rolls. My wife and I always come here for Sushi even if it means a 36 minute drive for us the quality is just too good! Also, Monday’s they have a 20% off all of their rolls special! Can’t beat it!!!

I couldn’t be happier with our visit. The food was mouth watering and delicious! The presentation of the food was portioned beautifully. What really made our experience great was the staff were kind, attentive, and sociable. It was a fantastic meal and I recommend Umami to all.

Great service by Zack, our waiter. He was very attentive and charming. The food was nicely presented but quite mild. Loved the cucumber water, nice touch.

I have celiac disease, and so when I get sushi, I have a regular order. Hadn’t been here before, super great waitstaff. However, they don’t list all of their ingredients in the menu. They add tempura flakes to their spicy rolls, and I didn’t notice until I had eaten 2 pieces already. I’ve now had to miss days off work because of being sick. Unfortunate result of wanting to eat out

I was fortunate enough to be in Ashland visiting a friend and was extremely hungry– swung by Umami and sat at the Sushi bar and met a person preparing a few rolls. The man was extremely down to earth and shared some information on some of the sushi there and long story shortened- I happen to be talking to the owner. He prepared some of the most perfectly cut and prepared sushi I have had in my life, but this wasn’t yet the best experience I would have at Umami. The owner ended up providing his contact info and set up Wagyu beef for a celebration with a friend, it was served after 8 hours of preparation and three different types of flavors you could use with the meat. It was more cooked than I thought and was prepared for something more raw, but was not prepared for how amazing the taste was. I have had Toro and heard the similarities of how it just melts like butter, but this was something way beyond anything I have ever had. It made filet taste like beef jerky. My friends and I had all pretty quickly after tasting our first bite realized that it was the best meat and meal we had ever had! Whether just looking for the best Sushi or the most delicious “steak”, go to Umami.
