My sister and I came on a Friday around opening time. It was not busy. Legend was our server and she was so sweet, quick and checked on us plenty of times. my sister ordered the red snapper and I ordered the fried chicken and we both got the mac & cheese and greens. we got the seafood dip as an appetizer. The food was so good. We also got a margarita and tried the sunset cocktail. My sister said the margarita was good. I wasn’t a big fan of the sunset drink. I ordered the cheesecake to go, It was ok. The decorations were nice. It was very clean inside. Nice atmosphere. Overall, we would definitely go back.

I’ve been here twice and my experience has been pretty good. I got the turkey chops, yams, macaroni and calamari the first time pretty good. This time I got the blackened chiekn alfredo its really good and my favorite thing on the menu. The drinks are super good also. Everyone here is always so nice and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary earlier this week. The service was stellar (shout out to young MyLeah (sp) for her excellent attention to detail)! Everything we ordered was yummy and things we’d absolutely order again. Cocktails too! We’re definately planning to double back.

Last night was the first time I visited Mar’Tae’s. Both of us ladies had the Red Snapper, and my husband had the Lamb Chops. The collared greens, mac n cheese, yams, and asparagus were all . All three of us enjoyed the tasty meals we had. The atmosphere was a great vibe, and we were able to sing along with all of the music. Our waitress was upbeat and shared a lot of info about the restaurant since their recent opening. Our overall experience was top notch, and I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Last Sunday, after attending church, David and I were privileged to dine at MAR TAE’S restaurant. The food was beautifully presented, the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was exceptional, and the cuisine was mouthwatering. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit. Although Tae was busy, she made time to warmly greet us and engage in conversation for a few minutes. I enjoyed my time while dining. Customer service was great! Manager Ali informed us of possible wait times in large groups and what to expect. Food was a little too salty for my liking. Fried potatoes and onions should be drained from all the oil before serving. I hope the chef continues to work on perfecting the season portion and work out how to make sure the food is not too oily.

So… It was a beautiful spot. The layout of the restaurant was gorgeous. The vibe was right for a nice date or a girl’s night. The service was good. The waitresses and GM was very nice and accommodating. Made it so you wanted to come back and support.
The food was … Edible. And that’s how everyone at my party of 8 described their meal. For the price point, it wasn’t giving what I wanted/needed it to give. I order the Snapper with Potatoes and onions and collard greens as the side. And the blush and bubbles for my drink.
The fish was bland. It was cooked nicely but there was no flavor. It tasted of nothing. The greens were not the move. They almost tasted like canned Glory Greens but I could tell they were fresh so I don’t know what was happening there. It was lacking. The potatoes were very good though. Best thing on the plate. Oh and it came with cornbread. That was like eating the desert. Just dry. I don’t know if it was an old batch that they were trying to get rid of or they need a new recipe but something wasn’t right.
The blush and bubbles was a pretty drink… That’s the only thing it had going for it.
Also, I tasted the calamari. It looked like onion rings and was batter like it too. It tasted prefrozen. (I know we’re in Ohio so the squid is going to be frozen. But you don’t have to get it frozen already battered) And if that’s the case they should buy a different brand or just make it from scratch. It’s really a simply dish to make. Its supposed to be far more delicate of a dish than that.
All in all, the consensus of our table is we may come back for drinks but not for the food. And, honestly, drinks feels like it’s pushing it.

I love the ambiance! The buffalo wings were AWESOME! The oxtails were AWESOME! The greens were AWESOME! The cocktails are strong which is great. You get your money’s worth. The customer service is IMMACULATE! The owner (Tae’) personally came around to check on your happiness and this was on a busy Friday. Overall it was an AWESOME experience and worth every penny!
