They forgot an entire pizza. When they finally resent the missing pizza through DoorDash, they tried to charge me another $26…after I had already paid over $60. I called and sat on hold for over 30 minutes…like the poor DoorDash guy also waited for half an hour.
When I refused to pay twice for their mistake, the only “solutions” offered were to resend it again through DoorDash (what? So we could do this experience again?) or for me to pick it up myself. Then they hung up on me.
Except the call didn’t disconnect. I could hear staff talking trash about me, clearly assuming I was no longer on the line. Nothing says professionalism like insulting the customer after messing up their order.
If you’re looking for missing food, wasted time, being overcharged, hung up on, and mocked…congrats, you’ve found your Pizza Hut.
We placed an order through the Pizza Hut app for delivery to our hotel, and when it arrived, one of the pizzas was missing. We called the store, and they said they would send a replacement pizza via DoorDash (even though our original order was not placed through DoorDash).
When the DoorDash driver arrived, he told us we had to pay for the replacement pizza. We explained that it was supposed to be covered by Pizza Hut, but he stated he had been instructed to collect payment. We contacted Pizza Hut again and were placed on hold for over 30 minutes, only to be told that we needed to resolve the issue with DoorDash, despite never ordering through them.
To avoid further delay, we paid for the pizza so the driver could leave and then attempted to resolve the issue with the local store. After finally reaching them, we were told our only options were to have another DoorDash delivery or to pick it up ourselves. When we explained that we did not want to repeat the same issue we had just experienced, the conversation became heated and the call was abruptly disconnected, with no resolution provided.
Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience with poor communication and customer service.
My food never even got made and the manager yelled at me about it and threatened to ban me for asking where my order was, while also yelling at everyone else.
Go to a different pizza hut location!!!
