This was our second time here. I really enjoyed what I got the first time so went for it again. The Triple Delight, minus scallops. One of the reasons I enjoy this so much is it has my favorite veggies, broccoli, carrots and snow peas. The portion is huge and feeds me for several meals! Dave got the sesame chicken and it looked so good I stole some bites. The batter on the chicken is super crispy so it’s different from the way it’s usually served. This was part of a meal deal and it came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The service was great and very attentive.

This place never disappoints. The food is always light and fresh. The spare ribs fall off the bone. The dumplings are deliciously addictive. The noodles have great body. And no matter what I order I always ask for extra sauce, because it’s so good the next day I normally end up eating the rice even though I promised myself that I didn’t want or need it.

Let’s start with the positives: the food was good, generously portioned and priced lower than comparable places with comparable quality. Unfortunately, the way the ordering process was handled (at least the take out process) was clunky and amateurish. When I ordered, I was informed the wait would be 20 minutes. It turned out to be at least 35 minutes even after I talked to the counter person and he said he would ask the kitchen to rush it. Most restaurants inflate their waiting time and it’s generally for these 2 reasons: 1. You feel better about your waiting because it turned out to be faster than you expected. It’s called managing expectations. Disney and other theme parks, for example, use this technique all the time. When you see a sign which says something like “you are 20 minutes away”, that number is always exaggerated. 2. It gives the customer the information to make a decision. For example, since I was in a hurry, had I been told the accurate waiting time, I would have not ordered and left. When I complained, staff was more interested in getting defensive than apologizing for the long wait. They weren’t rude but they didn’t want to be accountable either.
Also, I ordered my food extra spicy but it was not very spicy at all.

We came to Paper Lantern on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a family birthday. The restaurant is conveniently located in a small shopping center about a half mile north of I-70.
It was not busy and we were seating immediately. The server was nice and the food was quickly served. I had the Sushi for 2 and shared it with my daughter. They allowed us to choose the rolls that came with the dinner.
Overall a very nice restaurant with good service and quality sushi. I recommend stopping in this restaurant for a good meal.

Was a little bit hungry and passed this brightly lit restaurant and decided to try it out. There was a few patrons and it was clean and neat. I ordered the edamame and the vegetable spring rolls first and then the Triple delight. Everything came out very Timely and hot very hot. The spring rolls were some of the best spring rolls have ever ate. The edamame was hot and crisp and lightly salted. The Triple delight was amazing perfectly Sauced and perfectly Blended. I couldn’t stop eating but I wanted to save some for my mother. I will be back this is a little Hidden Gem. And the prices were amazingly low.

Paper Lantern is a beautiful restaurant. The name is evocative and the interior furnishings are gorgeous! The staff is friendly and service is quick. Food presentation is beautiful. Just see the pictures. I took off a star because, for my visit, the Beef Chow Fun was just average: the noodles were stuck together and overcooked.

Orders weren’t labeled. No wonton strips for the soups. Portion size was 1/2cup not a pint. Egg rolls were tastless. Will never order from there again. Waste of money.

Good food. Quickly prepared. Tasty & savory. Cost effective. Big portions. Bunch of leftovers for next day. I recommend the fish with black beans sauce and the Singapore noodles. One negative is that they don’t have as many green veggies in their dishes such as Chinese broccoli and yuchoi. But overall, good food and good price

Best Asian restaurant around for the price. We have been looking for a good family oriented place since we moved here a year ago. We are not looking any more. Great service, large portions, fresh made. Best egg rolls I ever had. They are freshly made and hand rolled. They also have great kids meals that are reasonably priced and large in size. The pic below with white rice is a kids meal, wow!
