The Hotel Shoreham is one of the older and most popular summer dining and drink venues in our western Minnesota lakes country. Located between Lake Sallie and Lake Melissa seven miles from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Hotel Shoreham operates seasonally from early April to late October. There are two distinct sides to Hotel Shoreham’s menu offerings: casual quality dining and pizza for sit down, dine-in or take out.

This was a nice place, a lot of outdoor/indoor seating and very friendly staff. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio area, the indoor space is very cool and rustic. Great drink and food selection. This is a nice place to visit if you’re in the area!

We wanted to love it, and it started OK. Drinks were delicious, but $18 for a Bloody Mary in a small plastic cup was unexpected. The salads were good, but small. My husband’s steak was delicious, but a bit under cooked for “medium” and my Crab Alfredo was extremely disappointing as it wasn’t real crab, rather imitation crab, but the menu did not state that (it said crab not krab). Even when I asked the waitress she agreed it wasn’t stated. $24 for imitation crab is horrible. The noodles were a bit overcooked too. There were lots of people and families, so a popular place to go. I loved how the staff pre-bused our table and kept it clear of dishes and were very attentive. Parking was very challenging. We might go back, but will definitely order something else if we do.

Amazing atmosphere, always busy, because food is so good, fresh and Pizzaa wow is the best. I love ladies the fish strips. Severs are super nice and girls who work there sure love working there. Great outdoor siting area, bar is fun and indoor siting good for family’s and also kids love it here they have kids options and deserts. I definitely always come back love the salmon salad. The fettuccine, the steaks and the pizza and hamburgers.

A must try is the ribs! Their hot delicious bread before the meal is also an added plus.

I ordered the pork ribeye with veggies. The ribeye was amazing. It was the best piece of pork I have had. The veggies were horrible. They were overcooked, mushy, and kind of stuck to the roof of my mouth. I didn’t finish them. The salad was good. Ranch was delightful. Hubs ordered the pasta trio, he said it was good. I cannot give a five simply because you have to give love to veggies just like you did to the meat. I would go back. Atmosphere was great.

If I were basing this on nostalgia, it would be five stars. However, I thought the quality of the food for the price should knock a star off. The prices are very high for a little above average quality of food. My wife said the fried pickles were not as good as they used to be. I will say that the atmosphere and service were great though! For how busy it was, I was impressed how well the staff was keeping up. I feel like this should add a half a star back. So, my final verdict is a very solid 4.5 stars!

Last time I was there I tried the grilled chicken sandwich, it was nothing special just the usual grilled chicken sandwich that most restaurants serve. Sweet potato fries were good. The wildrice bread starter was so good.
The staff was friendly and prompt, food came out fast. I tried the espresso martini but wouldn’t get it again, due to my own preference, I like my drinks with some sweetness where this one was bitter with no sweetness to cut down on the bitterness of the espresso.

Was really hoping for better quality food. They have a great location and vibe. Unfortunately the pesto pasta I had was just ok. Menu says it comes with pine nuts. Kitchen says they don’t have pine nuts. This meal is $5 more than the menu posted on google and doesn’t come with the ingredients it posts in the menu. Shoreham needs to up their game. This was a let down
