This place is absolutely amazing — Charleston truly needed this! The food is incredibly delicious and so authentic. Every bite was full of flavor, and we’ll definitely keep coming back just for those dishes!
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were so kind and friendly. They even surprised us with free baklava, which was absolutely delicious!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful food and a great dining experience!
I had their chicken and rice but not much of a fan of their rice. The rice taste okay. I just like the chicken and rice at Istanbul Shish Kabob across the street.
They have maybe a table or two for me people to sit on but they may be occupied all the time from people waiting on their food. So best not to plan to eat there. You can probably take it to the food court inside of the tanger outlet to sit instead.
Very friendly and nice people. Good service and good people. I eat there every week. And the food is halal too.
And the food wow. It came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they know what they’re doing back there. Everything was full of flavor, and the prices were more than fair for the quality and portion sizes. It’s one of those spots where you take the first bite and already know you’ll be coming back.
We ordered the lamb and beef döner wraps, and they are huge.
Instead of serving pre-cooked, reheated slices, they cook, slice, and serve the meat fresh as original Turkish döner, giving it a juicier, more flavorful bite. They also offer chicken döner if you want to mix it up.
The sauces are a must. The white sauce adds creaminess, while the spicy red sauce packs a kick and boosts the flavor profile. Combined with the soft yet slightly crunchy bread, fresh greens, fries, and pickles (ask for “all in”), the perfect balance of textures.
This isn’t your traditional Turkish döner, it has more of a German twist. So if you’re expecting an exact replica of the Turkish street food classic, you might notice some differences, but the taste is still solid in its own way.
While it’s not the cheapest option in town, the quality of the meat and freshness make it well worth the price. Charleston doesn’t have many places offering döner, so it’s great to finally have this addition. Definitely recommended. We will be back.. Ah, try the sarma (desert) if you like pistachio..
