For mains, we had the cashew stir-fry with chicken and shrimp (served with rice) and Pad Thai noodles. While everything tasted good, the main dishes could be improved slightly when compared to some other Thai spots in Overland Park.
We wrapped up the meal with banana fried ice cream, which was a fun and tasty dessert.
Would recommend for the atmosphere and appetizers — a solid choice for casual Thai dining with friends.
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, promptly taking our order with friendly professionalism. The interior was a delightful surprise—filled with lush greenery that created a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Our food arrived quickly, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. We ordered the Pad Mee and the Thai Fried Rice, both of which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were absolutely spot-on, with the spice level hitting just right. Each dish not only tasted authentic but also looked beautifully presented—reminiscent of the true essence of Thai cuisine.
The service throughout our meal was outstanding, and the attention to detail made our dining experience unforgettable. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and visit this gem. Highly recommend!
On my last visit, I had the soft spring rolls (chicken) -.came out absolutely fresh and perfect, and I had the Kee Mow (drunken noodles) for my main course. Noodles perfectly cooked, tons of wonderful veggies and chicken. I ordered “hot” for the spice level ( all dishes can be ordered all the way from absolutely mild, to fiery “Thai hot”). They’ll even bring extra “condiments” if you want to kick it up even more.
My wife loves their Thai Basil stir fry, and that’s another “bursting with flavor” favorite. For a frigid day, be sure to try the Khao Soi – best curry soup on the planet.
DETAILS: We moved away from the area almost 2 years now, and we severely miss this place. The food was the best, and we knew the owners well. I owe them this review not because we are biased, but because it was really good food.
Growing up in Bangkok, frequenting the street vendors for faves like Bami Heng and Bami Nam (street noodles dry or with soup) and saving/spending my allowance on it… that was pure nirvana. I never tasted anything like it in over 30 years, except for when I or my family made it from scratch. This is the first place that actually cooked it just like it was back then. They have the right amount of crispy garlic oil, and Moo Deng (bbq pork).
Other favorites – like Som Tam (papaya salad) are spot on with the balance of lime, fish sauce, and Thai bird chiles. The Tod Mun (fish cakes) are spot on – again, also pretty rare to find at Thai restaurants in general.
My wife loves the Khao Soi – curried noodles with crispy tofu. Their yellow curry is also very good, my son’s fave.
They even offer mango with sweet sticky rice that we get every so often.
To Pi (owner) and his staff, you probably know who is writing this review… but thank you for bringing me closer to my childhood memories and putting me right next to the noodle street vendor anxiously waiting to spend my $5 baht while I wiped the drool off my face. We miss you and will visit you again soon.
