Kazoku has officially become one of my Edmonds comfort spots. The food is always fresh and delicious, the vibes are warm, and the staff treats you like you’re a regular even if it’s your first time. Their sushi is amazing, their bowls are flavorful, and everything feels thoughtfully made.

It’s the perfect spot for a cozy dinner, a quick “I deserve this” meal, or a low-key date night. If you haven’t been… go. Trust me — this place delivers every single time.

Wow! The chefs and servers are all so great! We sat at the bar and were served beautiful plates. The “sushi nachos” with lotus chips is my new favorite food. Probably the best sushi experience I’ve ever had!

I want to give more stars but the food was disappointing at these price points.

-Salmon Ikura don – something was off about either the rice or the marinated ikura or just the thin five slices of salmon that was $29
-Sushi Cherished Set – each nigiri was bland but the prawn nigiri which was extremely salty, even California roll was bland
-seafood udon – underwhelming seafood additions for $29
-pork katsu don – good, one of the lower priced items so it was worth the value
-spider roll – fried well and warm when served but bland

Overall the bill was too high for food we weren’t satisfied with but maybe it was off day

This place is amazing! Amazing flavors, super nice and sincere staff, and super fresh sushi. We got to try the Kai Roll. It debuted today and we were the first to have it! Let me tell you, it has the perfect balance of sweet/savory, smooth/crunchy, fresh/fried. The mango salsa brings a fusion style sushi I didn’t know I needed. I’ve been to Japan and this was similar in quality and taste AND experience to the sushi spots there. We finished off dinner with Ube and Passionfruit mochi ice cream. It was also incredible. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Dining at Kazoku was such a pleasure! The staff was friendly, warm, inviting, and knowledgeable. The service was terrific. And the food….the best sushi we’ve had in a long time and we eat sushi often. Everything was so fresh and the flavors amazing. The menu was full of dishes we wanted to try, so we’ll definitely be back. The Chirashi bowl was exceptional!

We went here tonight the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It reminded me a lot of sushi bars in Japan. We had some fantastic sushi and got to try out the brand new menu that they rolled out (pun intended). I would highly recommend going here on a date or just out for dinner with the family! We will definitely be returning again.

Somewhat regular customer for dine in. Staff is always great as well as the food. Today I just picked up a couple snacks for take out. The potato croquettes were perfect. The seaweed salad was also good. My only complaint is that these few bites of seaweed salad is $9?! I get everything is more expensive right now but this is ridiculous.

We visited Kazoku for Happy Hour and were blown away by how amazing every single dish was. The fish nachos were such a unique surprise — honestly so good. The sushi sampler plate was fresh and delicious, and the mini oden was exceptional. Truly, every bite we had was packed with flavor. Plus, the Happy Hour prices were very reasonable, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this spot

Food was actually good, if only consider food, I would rate higher.

Service: they were a bit busy, so the service was spotty even though our server was pretty nice. Since she was busy, we asked another waitress for things – she was noticeably not willing to help – which was disappointing.

A really really disappointing dinner.

• Miso soup was too salty. I saw another review that someone had to add water to theirs lol.
• I ordered the chef’s cherished sashimi plate. A thick line of sinew was left on the o-toro which made it really hard to eat. Why did they leave it on?
• The middle piece of o-toro also had a brown spot, and apart from the salmon which was okay, the rest of fish tasted like nothing. You have to wonder how old this fish is and/or how poorly it was prepped.
• We collectively had left around of the fish visibly on our plates when we asked for the check. The waitress didn’t acknowledge this at all. She had previously asked how the food was but not at all at the end of the meal.
• She then hovered super awkwardly + stared directly at the tip machine while my mom was trying to take a minute to calculate.

Honestly just a really sad waste of money. This was the day after Seattle Restaurant Week so maybe they’re reusing leftover fish from then?

Takoyaki was good though
