What made it worse is my fried rice was light too. It felt like I ordered something from the kids menu.
The fortune from the fortune cookie says it all.
The next time I came to this location, I went inside. Thirty minutes to closing and Sajjan and Shamel gave us Excellent customer service. Another employee was trying to shut down our orders but Sajjan came through and overrode his decision. Shamel gave us a drink while we waited.
It’s hard to deny that orange chicken….
Then, there is absolutely no point at all in placing an order beforehand. As when you arrive, you will still be forced to wait in line along with other cars that are placing their orders in person. So yes, it won’t matter that 15 minutes ago you got the confirmation text message that your order was ready. Because it will simply sit there, as you wait behind someone who just ordered at the speaker, as they prepare that person’s order live in the moment. And then the cherry on top, is that workers either don’t care and/or have enough common sense and consideration to ask the car ahead of you at the window to pull into a parking space, so that people who had online orders can pull forward to the window and get their food…..which at this point is now approaching the 20 minute mark of just sitting their.
So yes your egg rolls are getting soggy, your entrees are getting cold and the ice in your drinks are melting and making your drinks watered down.
But look the bright side, there is at least one positive though. You’ll have more than enough time to pull out your phone and leave a Google review, as I just did, as your car idles eternally. Hey there’s a silver lining to everything in life right? Smh.
And that also goes for portion sizes when they’re like not that busy I feel like I get a bigger portion size from the play I’m ordering but if they are super busy they give me last food.
This is my favorite Panda Express in all of Charlotte the rest of the ones I’ve had worst wait times and the food quality is not as good and consistent as this location. That’s mainly why they’re getting the four stars because their food is always perfect what comes down to the problem is there service and readiness. If you’re not waiting in that line with everyone else it doesn’t matter how long ago you place your order you’re not getting your food before them. They really need a dedicated person that’s running the doordash and mobile orders during their busy times. As I go like several days in a row and it’s a consistent issue.
I ordered the chili crisp shrimp, a spring roll, and cream cheese rangoon. The food was good on a cool night. They just need to tighten up the service to match.
When I began placing my order, the employee taking orders interrupted me before I could finish my sentence to say they were out of an item. I politely asked what else they were out of so I could choose accordingly, and his response was, “I don’t know, but like I said, we don’t have that item.” The tone was dismissive and rude. When I selected another menu item, he then said, “I have a little bit,” which only added to the frustration.
What made the situation worse is that I came almost two hours before the restaurant closed, so I’m not sure why multiple items were unavailable or not being prepared with that much time left in the day.
The entire interaction left a sour taste in my mouth. So much so that I drove away without even ordering food tonight. Customer service matters just as much as food quality, and because of this experience, I won’t be returning to this Panda Express location, I will not spend my money at an establishment that does not show that they value the customers putting Money into their business.
